Thank you Mick for this smashing review. You've made me get my Kensington out, (not a euphy but I see it's potential in this community).
I'm puzzled about why some people are hung up on water resistance. After all, when someone's made the effort to hand write a letter, one would have to be a dimwit to read it in the bath.

Have used Majestic forever but Presidential is my new favorite. More ink comparisons please.

Another excellent review! Really well organized and informative! To my surprise, I like the looks of Tudor Blue.

Great comprehensive ink review Mick. I now have a useful shopping guide for the Diamine blues.

I usually love Diamine blues, (you won me over to Oxford, thank you) but I was very disappointed in the Prussian Blue. I put it in a Jinhao x450 nib & I’m starting to like it on ‘less-than-great’ paper. It does behave well enough to be used in a catch-all list journal and in some homemade field notes. I haven’t moved it to the ‘ink that shall not be used’ shelf just yet. I’m just going to think of it as a gray ink going forward.
I really like your comparison videos, please keep doing more!

Mick, thank you for this review. I tried three of this class of the Diamine blues: Regency, Tudor, and King Boris's ink- Bloody Brexit. Bloody goes on dark blue and dries to display the dried blood sheen. I now know which of these colors don't meet my tastes, and which do, all thanks to you.

I'm a big Diamine fan and I have 3 of these inks (majestic, tydor, and presidential), so I loved seeing how the rest of them come out on paper. Prussian and Regency blue are definitely my next inks.
    Amazing video Mick!
    Thank you :-)

Thanks for the review, Mick. I use Majestic Blue as my go to blue ink along with Private Reserve Electric DC Blue. Don't know why I've never tried Royal Blue. It looks nice so maybe I'll try it next.

Diamine Royal Blue is pretty much my go-to ink. For such a great value ink it has character, is very safe and consistent across all pens I have. It is not water-resistant at all but that would be maybe my only criticism.

Thanks for the review! It is interesting to see how the colour changes when the ink is written on different types of paper. Royal Blue appears similar to Noodler’s Blue (my fav). I simply must try that ink!

I have and love Majestic Blue and Oxford Blue. Oxford Blue is one of my all time favorite inks. I need to check out Prussian Blue. Lovely looking blue grey.

I found Diamine inks are super fluid, flooding the nib. Not suitable for use with cheap printer paper. Maybe more appropriate for use with extra fine nibs.

Do you have any recommendation of any similar blue as majestic blue but waterproof or water resistance. Thanks.

I do like the idea of the sample sets, but it’s an expensive way to go. At 8 x 2 ml bottles, you get 16 ml for $23. Whereas any of these inks in a 30 ml bottle sells for $9 at the moment on Pulp Addiction.

You are technically correct and that is fine if you know which colour to buy. Samples are always the best route when trying to decide on a colour and nib combination. I have several large bottles of seldom or never use again inks on my shelf.

The Diamine Royal Blue sample you have doesn't look right it should be a much lighter tone closer to a washable blue tone, you may have been sent a different colour in error.
