    There is no evidence of Elisabeth Woodville asking Edward to execute his brother. George did everything he could delegitimize Edward as king, and when his wife died in childbirth, he went insane, had the midwife executed without trial (murdered her), saying his wife had been murdered. Edward more or less had no choice, and he was patient with George longer than most would. There is no record of Richard having any problems with his brother, quite the contrary, and we don't actually know the reason why he had them killed except making an educated guess that he wanted the throne, but to be honest, we don't even know that. Please don't spread conjecture as fact.

    Si Richmond los hubiera encontrado despues de Bosworth,los habría dejado vivos? Los restos no darían la fecha de la muerte como para atribuirla a alguien en particular.

    No, After richard III took over the throne, he shoved and imprisoned both Edward(13)and his brother (9) in the tower of london, and were most likely murdered by Richard III’s agents.

    Locked up? Have you done your research? The Tower was a royal residence in those days. Young Edward was staying there while arrangements were made for his coronation. Young Richard joined him later - with his mother’s permission. Fact: we still don’t know what happened to those boys.

      Yeah, it's also where the royal family chucked people they intended to kill. How 'bout we ask Mary Queen of Scots how HER stay there went? Or Jane Gray, Anne Bolyn, Thomas Cromwell?
      When you hear hoofbeats, don't think zebras, and when you hear Princes in the Tower, don't think Perkin Warbeck. Richard had not only the most to gain, but the most access to the boys.

      Yes. Because the man who declared his own nephews (one of which being the actual king) as illegitimate, thereby seizing control of the kingdom himself, totally just took his nephews to the Tower for a holiday before the coronation.
      That's totally why he didn't say anything when the boys went missing, because. You know. It's totally normal to keep from acknowledging when the king and his little brother go 'missing' in your care. Losing your royal nephew happens all the time. Like losing your socks in the dryer.
      All while you, you know, take the mantle as king yourself.
      Yeah, Richard III was totally innocent. Absolutely.

    I think the Duke of Buckingham killed the princes. He had a claim to the throne also.

    • @L.K.Rydens
      @L.K.Rydens Před 4 měsíci

      He would've have had to kill the boys, Richard, Richard's son, and possibly every daughter of Edward to keep their children from inheriting the line. History Calling have 3 videos on this, she's a historian and only base them on established research, I highly recommend them!

      Thought I’d mention the current king’s coronation in case anyone complains that it couldn’t possibly be right because the claim was made in a documentary starring “Baldrick”! 😂

      His brother had already tried to steal the crown from him (including taking it and using him as a puppet king, if I remember correctly), put his family's lives in danger by doing so, constantly undermined the king's legitimacy to others, and finally lost the plot when his wife died, accused the midwife of murdering her, and had her executed (murdered) without a trial. At that point, not even Edward could defend him. And there's no evidence that Elisabeth had anything to do with it, but if she did, it would be understandable considering the fact that he (when he took the crown from Edward before), had had both her brother and father executed for being related to the last person who took the crown from Henry IV (they weren't actually there taking it). Edward probably didn't appreciate the deaths of his brother- and father-in-law either.
