@@DestructiveMediaYT It’s impossible for them not to lip synch, sometimes the choreography is just too powerful so it’s not humanly possible for them to sound perfect. That being said, they sing live 99% of the time and they sound great, they are amazing singers 🥰

@@MBella123 Please inform yourself before commenting. If there's one thing that stands out about BTS, it's that they never lip sync, no matter how hard their choreography is. This can be easily seen. Suga even stopped singing in the middle of the song in a concert to prove that he was singing live. Vocal coaches who react to BTS also say that BTS sing live. Anyway, have a nice day! 😌💜
"With great power comes great responsibility". BTS knows this and they take it seriously. They use their power so wisely. But you should definitely do a quick search on the Anpanman character. He's a cute little guy and, like they said, he gives away pieces of himself to help others. He's the weakest superhero but he gives whatever he has that he can give. The lyrics make me want to cry. BTS do give so much of themselves and they take so much burden on their shoulders. And then they turn it into a happy song and dance to it. You gotta love 'em. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Anpanman is superhero with an anpan (a red bean paste filled pastry) for a head. So he gives parts of himself to save people. During the Second World War, Takashi Yanase (the writer of the book)faced starvation countless times, which made him dream about eating an anpan. This inspired the creation of Anpanman (Wiki). I love this BTS' performance and I love the meaning of the song..
Anpan is circular bread stuffed with sweet bean paste. Anpanman is a guy whose head is anpan. He breaks off a chunk of his head to feed the hungry. When his head gets too small he spins and it grows back. ( hence the lyrics about spinning) He feels weak after giving away Anpan and can fall and get bruised. He is the best superhero because he gives himself instead of using super powers. It was a popular comic and cartoon show in Japan and Korea.
They are able to cope because they are 7.
Suga once wrote a letter that he read in front of the members where he said : yes it is scary but what a relief we are seven.
That’s what Hobi does, we call him Sunshine because he has this special energy, he’s always smiling, he always looks happy 💜
I just saw this song in concert at the Vegas concert and it was sooooo much fun. The stadium was jumping up and down.
A lot of their most fun (and funny cute choreo) songs are the most poignant like bapsae, anpanman and go go.

The love they show to their fans is unbelievable. I love this live performance so much! They all look and sound amazing, but J-Hope is shining bright on this one. 💜

This is my absolute favorite performance of this song. I love the little "bell kicks" toward end of J-Hope's verse, and Jimin's character voice when he starts his chorus ( after getting the bread from RM).
At first it's hard to trust that BTS always brings depth, no matter what style of song it is. But they DO.
It's funny how songs can grow on you, which is why I love that you react with an open mind.🥰 I used to skip this song - the high energy was too strong for me to handle 😅 - but it became one of my absolute favourites.🤩 When BTS performs this at a concert, they and ARMY have so much fun with this.
I was also thinking that it's a song that can relate to a lot of parents. You want to have superpowers to protect your kids, to be their strength and support; to have them think of you as a hero even if you don't have a flashy car or when you are hurt/afraid.
Yes, the singing by Suga (at the beginning after J-Hope) was even more exceptional since Suga isn't known for his vocals, just rapping. This is one of my favorite songs. Thank you for reacting to it. I watched a video that talked about their training and such and it mentioned that they would train by running on a treadmill while singing to help them be able to get used to singing while dancing. I also heard them say that Jungkook is the one with the most stable breathing when singing and dancing.
Ahh they are great in making songs that sems easy or silly or simple but there is always something that you can find for yourself, that second meaning, little deeper. 😉

When I first noticed this song I had no idea also what it meant. I just liked how it sounded. Then I checked the meaning of Anpanman because my little boy asked what it meant. When I read the meaning of just Anpanman the character- I got a bit emotional and cried a little. I guess i saw in it what BTS was trying to say to us, they’re no superhero like the strong ones, but they will be strong for us. 🥺 After that, this had a special place in my heart. ❤️
I suggest IDOL also. The original MV and the MMA 2018. This song also caught me off guard thinking its just one of those hiphop club songs. And then you learn what the lyrics meant to each of these 7 men.
Anpanman live in concert is such an ARMY favorite! By the way, whenever subtitles are being written word by word on the screen like here, they are auto generated and the English is always wrong. You can just turn them off by clicking on the little symbol in the bottom right-hand corner.
One of my fav song, never tired of it.
The first time you listen Anpanman you enjoy the song : it's funny, energetic. And then, you read more deeply the lyrics and... i've always tears coming into my eyes. It's so deep for me, the song hurt me to the heart, like an arrow, as an Army because i want to be an Anpanman for them to (like all Army i think) and as a mom because in my personal life, i really want to be an Anpanman to my daughters, not a heroine but someone who can take their pain, who can make disappear their fear or anxiety. i think it's the case of lots of parents : working hard like that their kids could walk into the life without thinking about all the bad stuff, being able to say "it gonna be ok" with an happy face even when we don't believe it.
To be more cheering : during Love Yourself Tour they perform the song in an amazing way, with balloon structure on the stage. It's really really funny to watch 😊
I really really like all their live performances of this song cause it's always so playful and uplifting. I almost know all of the lyrics by know. And they really make a point of having fun on stage, even pranking each other during the performance sometimes and laughing a lot. It's really infectuous
This version of anpanman was my first time seeing/hearing it. I was baby army still and omg so impressed by them. This performance of it gives me this weird bittersweet nostalgia for 2020 lockdown times

I would say that the two members that are more stable are Jungkook and J-hope, we call them golden maknae and golden hyung, their vocal and air control is incredible
They are also 2/3 of 3J (the unofficial official bts dance line which also includes Jimin) which means they often have to do a lot of the more difficult parts of the choreo compared to the rest of the group which makes it even more impressive.
This song is so good. There's a live with a giant bouncy at the stage and they play with it like kids. 😂💜
This song was instrumental in me becoming ARMY. Comparing themselves to Anpanman was clever and heartwarming. They seemed authentic in an effort to comfort other people with their music, which moved me to check out more of their discography.
this song its so wholesome, i really just understood it after watching a video explaining anpanman its a Japanese superhero that its literally made of a red bean paste filled pastry, so he gives pieces of his body to feed those who need it, even if he keeps getting smaller and they have to bake more for him to be complete again 😆 just a plus really u already understood the meaning without this lol

(Per Wikipedia the author of the children's books Takashi Yanase faced starvation many times during WWII and so inspired Anpanman and in turn the One Punch Man anime was inspired by Anpanman)
You’ve now seen even the most peppy sounding song can have deep and personal messages between BTS and Army and also be inspirational. They dedicated performances of this during the early Covid days to the healthcare workers being the hero’s. They really have a beautiful message here that BTS themselves understand they can only offer up a music but they want to be there offering what they can but also tell us that everyday heroes and they have so much fun going totally chaos crazy live. Another bizarre idea for a song that works. I’m addicted to the positivity of this one. It makes me smile.
We love how they don’t make empty promises of being our hero, that they can save us from everything but they can give us their energy and we in turn can also be a hero to others. And they have never let us down not even once!
Since I became ARMY, I'm always impressed how the rap line and vocal line compliment each other, their style works to make amazing and beautiful music. Great to hear you say the same. They each have a unique sound, but it just works. Add to that their dancing. I'm always in ah of them. Oh, and you saying that about JHope, that's why he's my bias, his smile is so infectious, that's why he's our sunshine.

There's a lot of fun live performances of this as well that your son might find fun - they perform it as part of their encore where they "blow up" a huge surprise for ARMYs on stage and just goof around while singing. It when the concert is technically done, but they're just having fun with ARMYs.

Hehe, actually I would say this is one of the performances that you can easly say that they are singing live, you can hear when they breath and when they take air.... The most in Suga, JK and Jimin parts...
But yeah if it is performance and they have mic they sing live, of course they have backing track and some filtr on mics so they don't pant to them, but the voices ale real, actually a lot people always ask, for me it is always strange, but maybe people can't belive that they can song like that and dance, etc.
About trainig to do this all..., nobody tell you this yet? Hmm they were running on treadmills and singing at the same time, this is how they traine at the begining, also different exercises that make your diaphragm and belly strong bc this is were they hold stability in voices, plus dance practices, they also hum when they learn choreo, etc. Then legs, knees, arms and hands. They have to be stable on legs, they had to have strong stand and move with power even if moves look delicate, then arms and hands to have strong grip when they dance and use mic in hands they have to hold it, not let go no metter what the move looks like, and there are dances when they use them to lift themself. Next important part is neck and then back, actually Jimin have a lot of problems with neck and back few year ago, doctor even said to him that he wouldn't dance in few years if they don't do something, take more break, loose a little, etc. So looking at covid, this pause that give them, theirs bodies healing time, their mental state was so so in that time but body had nice break for sure, they were exercising but to hold condition etc not in the way that they would do with tour on mind.

in the hundreds of behind the scenes that BTS gave us we now know how they practice. they practice the dance steps while singing/humming, then they practice with mics on, then they practice everything dancing, singing, if they have to go hard at concerts (which is every concert) there is usually a staff waiting for them right below the stage with oxygen to replinish them. as for lip syncing, they have backing tracks which is normal and u can tell when they are not singing because they will literally NOT SING. like their lips wont move.

I always feel like once you have heard the studio versions of their songs well then you can really tell they are singing live cause you can hear where they make changes. I love the message of the song and that they sang it during the pandemic here. That made me think of “everyday hero’s” which are very “anpanman like” IMO. 💜💜always love your reactions!

The studio recording of the song had to grow on me. Initially I wasn't a huge fan of the backing track beeping /whistling noises but I love the song now.
Also I do wish the song had less effects over their voices on the studio recording. I don't mind the use of it a little bit, but particularly the part of V's voice in the chorus, it takes away from the unique sounds of their voices and V's voice really suits the chorus and stands out enough on its own.
I'm surprised no one else seems to have mentioned the Bookish Theories explanation video, but it is a great one even if you want to give it a watch on your own. As others have said you did get the message of the song anyway, but I like how Bookish Theories explains it and shows images of and explains Anpanman which you don't get from doolset.
You saw the name 'Hitman' Bang in the writing credits. Not sure if your aware (so thought I'd mention) 'Hitman' Bang is the professional name/ nickname for Bang Si Hyuk, Bighit and BTS's founder. He is also referred to by BTS as Bang PD. I understand PD stands for Production Director which I think are common letters to refer to after a person's name in Korea in that sort of position.

ARMY always says the same thing, BTS are terrible at lipsyncing, in their music videos their mouths are out of sync sometimes XD That's why we can realize that they sing live. They are very dedicated and professional artists
