    Thereafter we sat sail across the English channel to France

    And inside, warm and cozy. I do envy this boat, not going to lie.

    Love how you guys talk so funny... we sure don't talk like that here in Idaho .... grateful you are speaking english. so nice to see what it's like with your adventures... Every morning I look to see if you have posted another video.... they are so well done and interesting ... the drone views are wonderful and I really got a sense what's it's like on a night passage. Thanks again.... Brian

      Thank you for your kind words.
      This with CZcams is so fantastic, you sit in ldaho and enjoy some crazy Swedes.
      We have come to the age where we don’t get embarrassed when we use the wrong words or have a (very) strong accent. 😂
      Glad you like our videos, because there are more to come and now when we getting close to Scotland, it will be a lot of scenery. Before that we will take you up from France.
      We save the cutting of movies for rainy days, so we guess the weather will decide how often they will come 😊

    Wow, I've been enjoying your travel (shake down cruise) so much. I'm VERY impressed with your beautiful yacht. I love the quiet doghouse and the protected hard canopy for a break from the weather. The layout is so competent and the vessel performs so well at every point of sail- no slamming and very relaxed motion. I do so love an aluminum boat (my dream is a Cigale 16- Finot design with Marc Lombard touches) and yours is truly perfection in every angle. Thank you for sharing! Enjoy an anchor dram for me as I no longer drink!

      Thank you David,
      We where next to a Cigale 16 in Cartagena (Colombia) some years ago.
      It looked really fast and cool and the skipper where very happy with the performance.
      We will think of you after the next crossing when we have the dram.
      Fair winds!

      @@bushpoint As my friends from Sweden say "Hey! Hey! Peace! Peace" (it sounds as it spells, prolly not what is meant tho.) Suddenly, I can no longer remember where they are from- age can be distressing! Travel safe, fair winds...perhaps I shall see you out there...

    I used to live here & moored my first boat, Freja, there for almost 3 years. Idyllic.

    I is a pleasure to watch you guys. Not sure if I'll ever tick sailing off on my bucket list but it sure will be fun. Keep up the good content.
    Let us know if you need a deck hand around the Portuguese cost!!🤣🤞

    @ 4:30 Here's another Australian with a good suggestion. 🙂 Always start a cleat hitch by putting the line under the far horn of the dock or boat cleat, not the near horn.

    • @bushpoint
      @bushpoint  Před rokem

      This is really amazing! It was actually an Australian who worked in a marina in Malahide/Ireland that taught us to do a proper cleat hitch, and now you have taught us fhf (far horn first) Fantastic, thank you! 🥰

      @@bushpoint It's a good technique, for sure. We learnt it from a video on doing the perfect cleat hitch on the Maryland School of Sailing channel. I'll see if I can paste a link. For ages I thought, 'I don't need to watch that!', but, when I finally did, wow, what a good video! Ha. czcams.com/video/KaF9lFn0Inw/video.html

    The short lines to the pier in a storm do not show good seamanship! With larger waves, it could quickly become very uncomfortable on board and there would be an unnecessary amount of strain on the lines and cleats. Love your boat. 👍

    • @bushpoint
      @bushpoint  Před 2 lety +1

      You are so right.
      Luckily we where up the river and not much waves and also on a floating pontoon so everything when well👍

      Agreed. Long lines are good. And too short or too tight lines are bad.
      You are sailing my dream boat. I like it very much!

    I suspect it got cold and got longer. dynema does that.

      That is still a mystery how the fitting/hook at the mast could come off, because it has a small bar that should keep it i place and that was intact...

      Could it be that it was tacked on and later forgotten to weld (hard to say without seeing all of it) @@bushpoint

    • @bushpoint

      Still a mystery, nothing was broken and it has stayed in place since then.
