Yes I would love a Selena Icon Box!! I know I was confused at first about her products being in there. I didn't know she had cookies out.
I had no idea either and missed that she online bullied someone awhile back. And, so many companies dropped her., Ipsy must have missed that, too!

And I agree with you 1000 percent with the iconic London blush palette, I remember receiving their bronzer, concealer palette like this and it was super greasy so definitely not for me and no it’s not like a fresh face wear type of formula

I can appreciate your opinion and love that you do come across as being extremely grateful for PR and it's great that you are giving your honest opinions and thoughts as a paying customer. I wouldn't be happy with the icon box either as a paying customer. But remember, paying customers also (allegedly) get a customized box according to your "quiz" even though sometimes it feels like they totally ignored the quiz 🤣 BUT, we also get to choose a few items as well. I'm not sure on your schedule or if you could even experiment for a few months and be a paying customer as well just to show the contrast in what products you may or may not receive. It could change your perspective a bit? 🤷🏻♀️ Just a thought.

It’s my first somehow haha usually I get so many repeat brands haha
I certainly won’t be choosing a cookie mix if that is a choice in my box😂 I believe John Legends skincare line is very affordable so won’t be the priciest of skincare brands if it is in the box.
It will be interesting to see what 5 products Ipsy choose for me. I normally get 2 or 3 of the curators products if they have a beauty line

I think the products you receive are literally spoilers. You don’t get a choice in the products, don’t makes sense that you won’t be entirely satisfied with the products.
Those of us who get to make choices are usually very happy with the products we receive. I know I am.
The other thing you mentioned is about curators of the Icon Box. Ipsy doesn’t do Takeover boxes unless it’s a special edit.
What the curators do are pick the products they like out of what Ipsy present to them. If they have a beauty product line, they will offer a few of their products to be put in their boxes.
But takeover makeup boxes seem to be very rare for Ipsy now. Unlike Boxycharm, we’d get a Takeover box at least twice a year.

Okay I’d be punching walls if I didn’t get the juice fragrance. I’m so sorry! I actually LOVED my August . Each bag/box had wins in it for me. But I would feel similarly to you if I had yours. I haven’t been crazy about my prior months lately or even my September which I see you actually liked 😅

Honest people always gets hate and hypocrites are loved, that’s how our world is but anyway 🤣, I’m actually happy with my Icon box, I got the the cleanser and the iconic London highlighter/blush cream pallet, tbh I have another contour pallet from this brand and I have never try it but I’m not liking what you said that it’s greasy so I might pass on it. I got the KVD primer, Jlo beauty lip mask, Kat Burki collagen gel,Byroe lip oil, Danessa Myricks blurring balm, Pat McGrath bronzer and this month’s beauty boost is Natasha Denona’s Love face pallet, and for my Boxycharm I got the same pallet, I agree, color story is beautiful and fun and a Lunar Beauty liquid blush. Again thank you for you very honest opinions here 😊. You earned a new subscriber.

The only thing for me that I would like in the Ipsy box was the Icon palette but I would only use the highlighter and deep bronze shade lol. So… it wouldn’t stay for long.

@@aleishabudgetbeauty I think it was, my icon. I got a lot of skincare but I like the Kat Burki line and there was another expensive brand that I am happy to try. I know just being expensive doesn't make it better but I like to try them. And my mom is always happy with that too! :)
The Loved01 (John Legend’s brand) and the cookies (Chrissy’s brand) were extra gifts for those of you who received pr. That’s the reason you have two cleansers.

I think someone else mentioned this in the comments, but the cookie mix and loved01 product are probably an extra gift for content creators. I'm sure it's part of the deal with the Legends to help promote their products. I don't think Ipsy customers would be happy getting cookie mix and a drugstore brand in their Icon boxes so they decided to promote it in a different way I guess. Some of the spoilers look good for the Icon box so I'm hoping I get some of the good stuff, like that Commodity perfume you talked about. I think most paying customers end up being happier with what they get than content creators bc we get to pick some items and it's supposed to be curated to us, MOST not all that's for sure lol. You always do a fabulous job of reviewing the products. You're one of the only ones I see that actually tries to use the products before your video so that you can give us helpful info. I, for one, appreciate that, so thank you!

I would feel terrible if mine was always amazing and theirs was bad. I do hear a lot that they don’t love their selections like they used to and many have canceled. That makes me sad; because, at one time, this was such an awesome subscription. 😞😞 I hope you get the Commodity!! I have smelled it in store and it’s one that I couldn’t justify paying full price but getting it for a great deal like in the box would be AMAZING. @christinunya72 She's not being rude. She literally spent the first 3-5 minutes in her video explaining why she was going to critique these subscriptions harshly. Getting something given to you doesn't mean you can't give your honest opinion of the products given. You can still be grateful but not like some products, and her response to someone essentially calling her ungrateful was to encourage that person to actually watch her video so they heard her explaination, instead of having to reiterate it in the comment section a million times. You can't know why she's critiquing it the way she is by skipping through and maybe watching a minute of the video.
