To help those who seem to care, I have received emails and text messages about me saying gel coat and then saying painted surfaces.
In hopes in stopping the madness:)
This RV is painted!
After 27 years they are all the same to me..lol
Thank you for sharing. It's was very straight forward and implementing. You are awesome ❤
I have been around these for over 20-years and wondered about this question. Price is reasonable given the effort you have to do, that is a lot of surface to clean. Keep up the work and yes the tires were nice and shiny.
thomkir
Thanks for the answers. I was looking for a guy honest enought to share the prices and the way to estimate the job. This way I will be able to explain the clients what to expect for each price bracket. Thanks again!
Bro thanks for this, I am due to wash my first RV Winnebago 40ft, I truly appreciate your comments and insights on this.
I am ready for the tire shine trick!
You are right Scott. The roof of an RV is a very touch if you don't know what type you are dealing with. Is it vinyl ? is it rubber each surface needs to be cleaned diferently based on the material of the roof. The seals need to be treated to prevent them from drying out, and then a sealant needs to be applied for the UV. We have a 21 foot travel trailer and its a job to clean. Good job on this one.
Five years later and the going price is 20-25 a foot. Maybe just washing the outside. However, when you have this nice of an rv you have to clean the slide outs.
Great stuff, really appreciate you taking the time. I'm very curious about how you would price per foot for doing paint correction on an RV, not only a simple cleaning detail.
I spent 10 hours washing a RV covered in mold and mushrooms growing on the roof. Charged $500 so it ended up being $50/hour and I felt like that was fair. I know this job is older but No way could I do $7/foot for the work I did especially in todays economy in Canada.
we just did our 4th RV. We both agreed it was our last. We have done only cars for 20 yrs and rv's are too much work. Good money though...
Good job on this RV Scott! Looks very nice!
You’re getting pretty famous. Some car detailing supply stores around the Inland Empire have you playing in the background over here. Pretty cool in my opinion
Looks amazing!!! Thanks for the pricing info
I detail cars and i had a guy ask me if i can detail his 36ft rv what should i charge all 4 sides i dont wanna over charge him but dont wanna screw my self price woukd be helpful flat rate
Hi. Here in England I have detailed the size RV 40 ft and 10 ft high it took me 2 hours just to do the roof. so if you cleaned the whole thing 3 and a half hours wow what is your secret !!..
Your pricing seems very reasonable for the quality of work you do. Let me know if ya make it to Arizona for a "working" vacation.
ACoustaDC yes even at 15 dollars a foot for this RV for 540 dollars Is reasonable in my opinion as well.
I appreciate your offer but if I'm on vacation the last thing I want to do is work..lol
I would have to charge you more normal fee plus travel and all expenses for hotel and food plus I would have to be compensated for The loss of income for my clients here going somewhere else because I wasn't available to them.
Boy this is getting expensive..lol
I would need several thousand to make it worth my while..lol
If you have a RV and no doubt you like to travel, it would make sense if you ever in Dallas to just call me:)
I know you were teasing, but it would be awesome to be a traveling detailer around the country!
Another great video! Thanks Scott
Been loving ur videos since i began washing cars! A year later watching rv washes!!
How do I measure the size of an rv? Thank you! Love ur channel and info!
I own a 39 foot RV. It is A LOT of work cleaning this thing so I can appreciate the effort you put into this. Question: that was a painted coach. Would you charge the same for a non painted one?
Niiiiiice. Your accent is a typical Dallas Accent. LOL.
Thank you for the awesome tips. How much should I charge for a wax job.
Scott. Great work
This was helpful. Thank you. What about initerior detailing of the RV?
Thank you Scott
5 years later, instead of $6-10per feet, your looking at $10-$30 per depending on what you need
Gotta love the Texas accent.
("Howard Stern talks RV detailing")
I'm just waiting for the day someone calls me up and asks me to do the interior in which it would be a nightmare. Lol!
The wet look is Pledge you can also use baby oil
No kidding!? That will be a helpful tip if its true! I will be trying it on my own vehicle first
So how much would you charge to clean one like this? I know 6 to 7 per foot but what about total price?
These Coaches are 35-40 feet in length so just multiply it by 6-7$
Is that perside
@@justinperez1922 no he stated in the video all 4 sides
Omg right. This dude. Smfh
Thank you so much for this Video brother . Do you use the same concept on regards to pricing for interior detailing?
How to bid an RV Detail Job. You Dont! Lol ive always wondered this as well honestly. I detailed a boat 1 time when I was younger (13 years ago) I underbid it horribly. Took me almost a week. Guy left the cover off and parked it under a tree!
Scott, Love your videos!! How much more do you charge for the awning?
Great video. This really helped me. God bless.
Could you do a video on what gel coat is and maintaining it?
Hey Scott. i really love your video and they help me out a lot I just wanted to ask that if paint correction can be done with those orbital buffers which like don't have a handle on them
+dallas paint correction and auto detailing
Is the trick pbs boot sealant?
Those tires are wet! Please share
Scott I recently got into RV's and would like to know if a long throw polisher will speed up my process of polishing. I just did a 42' 5th wheel and using a regular DA takes long. Should I invest in a long throw? Thanks.
Hey Scott, I’m a new detailer in the Killeen Tx area. I just use my car , drive around and detailed cars . I would like to detail RVs as well.Detailing an RV including the interior or just exterior.? Thank you
Scott, how would the price change for a gel coat finish instead of paint? Also, if the gel coat is in bad shape and requires a rotary/wool pad, how much should I charge? Thanks
How would you charge , just to polish the front of the RV ?
Trust me I hate when people are cheap.
I’m also wondering the same thing. How much for just a front end polish and wax?
Thank you for that !
You are a great guy.
Scott your going video crazy
Thank you!
HOW DO YOU CLEAN THE ROOF OF A VAN OR SUV? I need to start waxing the roof, they always get rusty on me.
No carport and the garage is full of junk.
What do you use for soap?
Can you walk on the roof of that RV that you’re showing to clean it I’m just curious I don’t clean RV was wondering
Yes
Just be careful and cautious of where you are stepping
Very impressive!
How bout the interior
OTR ATL no, I would hire a maid service for cleaning the interior.
RVs have bedding and dishes and many household items, it should be viewed the same.
Cockpit area sometimes is an exception.
What do I charge to shampoo just the carpet?
Thanks man 😎
When you say $7 a foot is that a side ?
No he means if the camper is 36ft then it's $7 a ft so 36x7= $245 then $50 for the roof so total is $295.
That’s just for a wash from top to bottom. Not bad.
I’ve seen it both ways. I know this is an older video. Here in Arizona the average is $20/ft, and some do it how it sounds if it’s 40ft front to end on one side, it’s another 40ft on the other. So that’s $20/ft at 80ft up to 50/ft for hand wax and $80/ft for a ceramic coating. Just by research in my area.
252 dollars seems really cheap i charge 150 to do a car inside out
I was thinking the same
Hello I just came across your channel and I was wondering do you have any videos of a good carpet cleaner I have a 01 Yukon with some sort of Coke or coffee stain in the car when I purchase the vehicle what do you recommend for cleaning it cuz someone told me I had to replace the carpet
If it has gotten moldy on the foam underneath the carpet you will not get rid of it
But try super clean bottle diluted 4:1 32oz bottle
Spray scrip and wipe with microfiber towel
If you can, I pull the carpet clean out of the vehicle. Then I can degrease it and take it to a spray n wash or use your own pressure washer. I have gotten out some nasty stuff.
PLEDGE!!! LOL
Bro just friggin tell us the dam price, good lord. Smfh
Hmmm. $190 per hour. Wow. A Doctor (GP, after 12 years of college) makes on average $90 an hr. A specialized Dr. makes on average $170 an hr. LOL. F that I'm gonna become a Detailer.
Math is off there bud lmfao
@@Bentonfishing1....LOL. prove it bud.
Um, not sure I understand your comment. He’s not there selling his time, nor did the RV owner ask if he was for rent. The RV owner is asking and paying for a particular outcome - his RV to be cleaned. There is a market rate for that outcome. The resources the business uses to achieve that outcome are irrelevant. Time, materials, etc. used to achieve said outcome are irrelevant as the market rate for the outcome is what it is. You are willing to pay X amount of dollars for Y results. That’s it.
@@JaridOrgeron It's cool brah. You'll figure it out one day.
