I literally grew up singing Aegis songs. I remember belting their "Mahal na Mahal Kita" when I was 6 years old. I learned the entire song before learning how to read. Haay. Good ol' days. ❤🇵🇭

Aegis is a Filipino pop rock band formed in 1995 (formerly known as AG's Soundtrippers in clubs and lounges all over Japan). The band is composed of SISTERS: Juliet, Mercy and Kris Sunot on lead vocals, Rey Abenoja (the only male member) on vocals and guitars, Stella Pabico on keyboards, Rowena Adriano on bass guitar and Vilma Goloviogo on drums. The group changed the name to Aegis in 1998 as agreed upon with Alpha Records. The meaning of their band's name is "shield" or "protection".Their songs have been featured in the musical Rak of Aegis.

They have some of the iconic songs in the Philippines, such as Halik, Basang-Basa Sa Ulan, and Sayang Na Sayang. In karaokes, those songs by Aegis as considered as high noted songs that when it was nailed by a local karaoke singer, it is praised. The 70's, 80's, and 90's artists are in a whole different level when it comes to singing. Aegis is one of the legendary band in the Philippines they idolize the band like Heart who sing Alone.
While I’m a filipino I can totally relate on classic rock. What a beautiful era of music and it still gets me whenever Queen, Led Zep, Rolling Stones or any of these bands songs get played. They never do music like that anymore😞
