its amazing how fast you can rebound if you have years of strength training under your belt. People rarely believe me when I tell them I went from benching 185 to 355 in 5 months after i went on a heroin and cocaine bender and missed 7 months in the gym and barely ate anything but candy and beer. So even if you become disillusioned if you feel you aren't making gains or plateauing there are long term benefits that are not often realized until years after.
@@DanielRowlands1 True lol. Outside of a few people that know each other in the gym everyone else is pretty quiet and in tune with their workouts. I've been at my gym for almost a year and I'm gonna be honest there's not 1 person I talk to regularly there.
He is like the average person that goes the gym, he gets there by bike, no fancy clothes or material, trains alone, commercial gyms, but not only he trains the most difficult strenght sport but he does it at an olympic level
The disbelief when Clarence just casually visits Sheffield and trains in the same gym as you! Going to have to track down that bar and see if it's got any leftover power!
I really enjoy this series, it's a nice break from the hyper-aggressive WE GO JIM type lifting videos that seem to be everywhere now lol. Technique is looking good
Actually saw this from the top balcony and wondered who the f**k I was watching..... Obviously found out and here I am.... If you'd shown your next attempt at C&J you probably see me in the mirror 🤣 Amazing to see in real life, most impressive thing I've witnessed in 25+ years of training.
Liking the slay the spire music when advertising your programmes :). Great to see you getting strong again so fast. I enjoy listening to your methodical approach to training.
Always love how honest Clarence is about his training, no ego, no BS, no glorification. If his struggling he will tell us and if his having a good time he will tell us, love that
Nice video Clarence, love to see you training again and love the narrated vlog format of the videos. If I recall rightly Matt used to live in and work in Bath? I seem to remember his face, believe I met him there some years ago. Keep it up and look forward to the next one!
@@ahwerdfw But that's nonsense. Being 100kg is not near heavy enough to cause joint problems unless you are about 5'4. I'm only 21 and 98kg and there's plenty of room for growth. I still feel fast, powerful and light on foot. Sore joints at such a weight will be caused by unrelated issues. (unless you are obese)
excellent training vlog, this just popped up in my feed and it's nice to watch someone training hard whilst remaining calm, and $1 for patreon for extra content, I'm in.
9 sessions a week, recommends 6, while I'm almost 40 years old now, feeling like 25 in my mind but body struggling to recover from 3 sessions. Being a dad of small children is stressful ^^. Great video Clarence! Still going for a PR when they sleep through the night. Fittest @ 40 maybe?
You would think clernece would be fumbling, but no, the man’s videos are getting more views than expected. I’m here for it because I kind of like regular content from him and was great to see that he is healthy
Love seeing you back in the gym, been watching you for years along side my own fitness journey. What do you do in order to recover when training twice per day? Less intensity?

Which protein do you usually get, Clarence?
Clarence, if you ever find the opportunity to jump on a watt bike and full send please upload it! would love to know what your max watts are
❤❤❤❤❤
Clarence casually coming back after 2 months is pure bliss

Weightlifting house should hire Clarence to commentate
he bounced back frighteningly quick
@@scottessery100 Better: he can do a voiceover commentating on the europeans or any lifts like other channels do
I love the fact that he posted a video about how he struggles with 160 kg squat 1 month ago and now he's casually clean and jerking 200 kg

Ridiculous

@@Brett733 so you’re saying that I could put 170lbs on my bench if I take 7 months off the gym and start taking cocaine and heroin? 🤔

In commercial gyms in the UK no-one looks at or talks to each other

i'm watching his form frame by frame, and as far as I know it's very close to perfection, even with 200kgs..
Everybody else: "Babe, wake up, Clarence posted!"
Me: Hoping my wife doesn't wake up and interrupt my alone time with Clarence
😂
Me: no wife, just the smell of cocoa butter on one hand
There is just something very calming about the man, and how he goes about his training.

This is very soothing to watch. Like Asmr
Very! This and stuff like Tren twins are polar opposites. Both fun in their own right but sometimes like a good zen workout vibe.
Right? Very opposite of the Tren Twins
clarence is the only pre-workout i need
I mean I get what ur sayin but he's so calm and organized in his videos, I can sleep right after one
Kept it kinda light with 180kg front squats for a lot of sets... after maxing 200 hundy on C&J. What a weapon!
"I kept it light 180 kilos" GOAT 🤣🐐Great work as always Clarence, truly an inspiration to all of us!

you didnt look stupid from your bike footage you straight look chaded out you look great!
Despite being this high level, Clarence is still very happy with small improvements 🙌🏿

Hey Clarence, it’s brilliant to see you cycling again🙌🙌🙌
Your bike route to the gym is pretty cool too🙄🙄

Great vlog Clarence! Thanks for providing us with a good content
Yesterday I did front squats 40kg 3 x 8. I hadn’t done them in years and was feeling pretty good, until I saw this 😂😂
You should still feel good about it, a lot of people have trouble doing that with there own bodyweight.
I'm so happy for you... Hitting good numbers when trying to come back from a hiatus is so motivating...
Why he paused, injury?
