Hmm, here's an observation from a constructive criticism perspective: All that strut is doing is adding more weight to the back of the boat. It's not really necessary on that hull. Here's what I mean: The purpose of a strut is to mount/position the stuffing tube and allow the prop position/angle to be adjustable. This allows fine tuning, not only of the height of the prop in the water, but changing its angle of attack, which cannot be done in this case because the stuffing tube goes through the back of the transom in a fixed position. When using a strut, typically the stuffing tube exits the bottom of the hull, not the transom, so that it allows movement for fine tuning. I appreciate your efforts, but this is one of the limits to this particular model's design; Prop position is not tunable. Based upon how the boat runs however it's really not necessary as they did an excellent job on this guy, right from the get-go. Motor, prop, batteries and ESC upgrades are where it's at on this guy, if desired.

In cases where the stuffing tube would need to go through the transom, here's a good example of how it is done. Notice the stuffing tube should slip into the strut, and the strut he used allows easy greasing: czcams.com/video/pCQbU3YU0Ho/video.html

You should had really sealed the mounting plate of the strut and inside the boat as it will not be the same after modifying it great idea looks great but I would had sealed the the strut plate and installed it before it was all dry
Inside the boat where all connected with upgrade I would of sealed to prevent any water passing through
Was a good video to watch as I have just purchased my Arrow 5 haven’t made mods like I have on all my other boats so this was enjoyable to watch 😊
But weight difference of upgrades is a big difference

Thanks for watching! The motor is off of an arrma big rock. I believe it’s 3200kv but will not self right with this motor. I recommend using a good outrunner motor. 👍🏼
