the white eyes is an error on the box's part. the mcu iron spider eyes are always blue
They were white when Tony first showed Peter the suit at the end of Homecoming but that was the only time

Sometimes it surprises me how important a silhouette is. The details look great but if you black everything out and compare the figure to the source material, they're different characters. It's really surprising to me when I compare that to the SS kamen rider line. Similar price point, but they nail the silhouette and proportions. It kinda reminds me of drawing as a kid, I'd get hyper focused on the details cause those seem so much more important but when I get done, the overall figure is all wonky and doesn't look human.
There's different teams for each brand
I've always hated all the mcu Spiderman figures figuarts have done, they're always WAY too skiny, much more than Tom holland is, always looked wrong to me.
Their new nwh one looks pretty decent to me
They finally nailed the body on the nwh integrated suit from what the promo pics show
The far from home and the newer upgraded suit have s better muscle definition
The Upgraded Suit is actually pretty good either the proportions I feel but I've also read some say it's too comic-booky
I think the box art is based on infinity war concept art. The wrists on the art don't have the gold gauntlet things like on the figure (and in the movies) and of course the eyes are white when in the movies they are a pale blue.
Got mine on some of there first runs. Liked the sculpt and it look good though really small to my collection but beside the articulation issues u mentioned my iron spiders mechanical legs on his back just will not stay on my guy for the life of me. Ended up using blue tack to try and hold em there and glue dots but that still didn’t work. Hate got the figure and can’t even attach the back legs on him cause they just fell off rt away. See urs stayed in pretty well so guess as they made more they got better at doing it.
Making accessories that are for a certain figure, but included in another reminds me of the old Bandi SHMA line. I had to buy the Rodan to get a beam, and alternate head for MechaGodzilla. You also had to buy little Godzilla for an accessory that should have been included with Spacegodzilla. They haven't been doing that much anymore, so I'm surprised to see it here.
Multiple Dragon Ball figures are coming with accessories for Gohan now, so they’re doing it more nowadays
And to be fair there really wouldn’t be a reason to include the Crystal prison accessory with SpaceGodzilla since Little Godzilla spends most of the movie trapped in it, so it makes sense to put it with Little Godzilla instead

SHF is such a mixed bag. I bought my first one this year and I was pretty disappointed.
The shf upgraded suit spidey (both the ffh & nwh) remains my favorite shf spidey. The proportions on that one is leagues better. That one is still skinny, but it still has heroic proportions (muscle definition, broad shoulders, etc).
In my opinion, the Mafex Endgame version captures the movie proportions much better. Though SHF sharpness of sculpt and paint are typically superior to Mafex
It's crazy you haven't seen the movie. If you've seen the three Spider-Man movie incarnations and have found memories of at least one of them, the movie will be enjoyable for you. Especially since you're a Spider-Man fan. It's worth your time.
Shout out to people who got burned out and behind after endgame and now have like 40 hours of content they have to catch up on.
I have the previous version but in that case the peg on the neck is curved forwards which limits the range for moving the head back, if you turn that articulation you can move it a lot more backwards
Is the endgame version better than this one? Because this one is cheaper and I was thinking about buying this one and don’t know if the endgame one is better or not
@@jifty377 well the biggest difference is a tom holland face and the nano gauntlet, the end game is a bit more shiny with a darker red, but if the price difference is too big I would recommend the newer one, honestly the tom holland face is not that good and you are always better off looking for some custom head in that regard

@@jifty377 you're welcome, the figure is great despite the issues shown in this review, and from experience is a lot better than the mafex with the easily breaking legs and paint fading over time issues
The Mafex is the Best version in 1/12 IMO. Better paint, proportions, articulation and more accurate accessories and details.
the arm joint on mine is stuck and is about to snap, what do i do
I've had this guy for a while and find your review spot on. Beautiful paint but the shoulders and side to side motion are really bad. I had the Mafex Endgame version and while it's better in a few ways I stuck with this one. The paint and sculpt are just too good.

Wish SH Figuarts Spider Man would be within scale with the ZD Toys Iron Man. They look so nice together, except Spider-Man is too small

I was so interested to buy it but after the reviews (I only buy one figure per character) mentioned the missing head, the scale (14cm? come on it's a 1/12 $90 figure, 15cm or 16cm it's standard) and body I passed
My one broke.. his arm got stuck and I tried to move his arm but his plastic joint is torn apart. You’re right. It’s not a perfect figuare

damn, that is disappointing release. For me, if it was cheaper, I probably would have been ok with it, but it's import stuff which costs more. Just hope they won't those same mistakes with next no way home spider-men, because I'm really waiting for those. Thanks for great review
Your last review on the monsterarts 2004 Godzilla, you gave it a good review, but other reviews claims parts fall off of it with little resistance, I was gonna get it based on your review, but maybe you want to take a second look at it.
No. I don't. Parts don't fall off if you don't force them. Shma are made with almost entirely ball joints. That's how ball joints work.

I prefer mafex Spideys, but SHF does a lot of things nicely, I mostly hate their crotch and hip design
You should do yourself a favor and watch this movie. The fanfair aside, it's well written and a great story arc or Tom Holland's Spider-Man character.
For the figure, blue eyes is accurate, and I think the next figure of him will include a head and a bunch of other accessories... supposedly. It's like $135, for a 6" figure, I would hope that it includes deluxe accessories.

Im a dc guy but gotta say no way home is one of the best comic book movies of all time. I think the bad ass fights make up for it not having the greatest plot
I have the first version of this SH made for Infinity War. 🤮 The Mafex version was the best in my opinion. I’m hoping to see new figs for the new red and blues soon!

SHF have weird proportions,even the Tobey Maguire Spidey is lanky, Tobey's supposed to be relatively bulky

The eyes seems like the biggest difference but the red also looks more muted compared to the final battle edition

Same sculpt just different paint. I have both and the Final Battle version is more glossy-metallic while this is more satin-metallic. Both good

I wish they did more standard style hips. I would buy so many, but that whole crotch area is all time bad and doesn't give you better poses than even modern Legends.
Yeah but like with dbz it does keep the joints tight so over the years. The figure stays good and tight. Where Marvel Legends over time will get loose.

Wonder if they ran into licensing issues for Tom Holland's likeness. It does seem really odd for them to leave out the unmasked head.
They have the licensing, they just want you to buy the other figure to get the sculpt. I think it's the Black and Gold suit that comes with it

I don't think you understand how time works
To my eyes, this SHF spider-man or any spider-man from this company still lacks muscle definition or looks too skinny. Mostly the arms muscle that bothers me.
