  • In my first video I show you how to make this simple but very strong child's picnic table. I modified the plans that I link to slightly but here are the originals.

I am sure you are tired of seeing comments on this video by now, but I just watched and was impressed. I do a little wood working and have been asked to build a picnic table for a friends child. Your example is great. I will pick up materials in the morning and complete before the weekend is over. I think I will enjoy the project and I know she will enjoy the picnic table. Thanks my friend.

By far the best instructional video on this project that I have seen. Clear, concise, succinct, perfect level of detail and technique explanation. And all without self publicity - Just what I was looking for and needed.

What’s funny is I just built one today with these exact dimensions on everything he did with spacing angles and how’s it’s assembled. I got the plans off googling it and went off the blueprints. This kids getting views off of making a table from someone else’s blueprint. It’s fine if anyone thinks I’m wrong but everything is the exact same from the 2x6 on the top with half inch spacing all the way to everything else being cut and built the same.

Riley, my 2 1/2 screws are going threw the deck boards when I’m doing the pocket holes. Should I switch to 2 1/4. My jig and drill bit are both set at 1 1/2

Hello! Great video! I will be making one of these for my kids off of your blueprint. There's only one thing I'm unsure about. When you mention the height of the table, I believe you say 30". This table doesn't look 30" tall. And by going off of the leg measurements you provide, it seems it should be shorter. Hope you can reply. Thanks!

I'd like to make one and paint the frame white and maybe do the top and seat in pink. My niece is 3. I'd think she'd really like one.
