This still makes me laugh - I read that A-Ha admits these lyrics are an improvement for this video (good for them for having a sense of humor about it).

I don't know how you could not have a sense of humor about it when you make a one-hit-wonder that is basically equal to 3 or 4 careers. It's like insane how this video paired with the song makes it explode every couple of years and there's seemingly no reasoning behind the popularity other than they hit that 0.0000000000000000000000000001% chance that an almost perfect combination happens. Hell, I linked to this from the scp-6085 article they put up like 3 months ago about the comic book she was reading. I think the ending to video might be the kicker that keeps bringing it back. So I just saw this for the first time. It's March 4, 2023. I've watched the original for like-what? 5 or 55 times? And watching your take had me in tears! The other sidecar racers (which, by the way, is NEVER mentioned, and being a former motorcycle racer myself is what first drew me to this video!) he beat, when the guy he decked with a right cross mutters "Where are we? Where the hell am I? What kind of hall is this? Is this your home?" I lost it. I had to hit pause as I was laughing so hard I couldn't breath.

It says "I'm gonna kick some ass with my own pipe wrench" but I've always assumed that were just seeing a pov shot from the attacker with the wrench.
That's because we always were. It's an interesting riff by the guys who made this. It makes for a hilarious line, and it explains how Good Looking Hero managed to survive the attack - which the original never did. We weren't that deep back in the '80s, LOL.
I think my favorite part of the whole video was the end hallway, when he's just... smacking himself against the walls then, "Hold on, lemme... get my jacket off, okay-" WHUMP.
