Because Kameo Lao has moves that base Lao doesn't. The low buzz saw, the teleport and the spin launcher. Combined with base Lao, it pretty much completes him as a character.
@@TheLordOfTheNight321 I wouldn't say completes, playable Lao has a full kit, the moves he lost were replaced so it's not like he's any less of a character. with Kameo Lao low it's like he's 1.5 Laos.
Haven’t found a teleport setup that leaves Lao plus yet, but teleport can allow for restands when used with the flurry punch ender. Also if your dive kick gets blocked use teleport to avoid punish
foxy grandpa has a nasty kung lao I wanna learn kung but it's so hard to play him now compared to mk11, mk11 lao was prime with his teleports and fast ass moves. Now lao kinda fell off but still kinda satisfying to hit combos and such. 👍👍👍
Foxy is definitely the Goat! Independently we came up with very similar set ups, and both prefer Lao kameo. I felt similar about Lao in mk1 compared to mk11, but once I started using Lao kameo I feel MK1 Lao has much more tools. The mix alone makes him so much better. He requires good spacing and you need to enforce zoning, you can’t be 100% rush down. Watch some of my sets, you’ll see what I mean!

Lao with lao is feels like playing mk9 lao all over again and I love it but with some new move’s added to his kit

Can someone explain why forward triangle into the spin cameo works in practice but never online( at least for me idk if its just me or the game)
Tbh I put that combo in here, but I never use it in matches. Requires too much commitment. I’ll either go into upkick or do f2 into Low hat.

how youd use kung lao kameo teleport with other characters?
With Lui, and maybe other characters, KL teleport will allow for combo off of a back throw.
