Surah Zumar has many verses suited to addreseing the doubts of the atheists. Surah Furqan is another chapter with many thought provoking verses that are suited for mankind in general. If the person is sincere then there is no harm in quoting verses directly but it is best to start off with utilising the arguments Allah uses in paraphrase.

Call them to Allah still my brother. Nothing wrong with using analogies as long as they fall in line with the Quran and the Sunnah. You don’t have to stoop to their way of argumentation because it leads to confusion. Calling to Tawheed is the first thing that you must do.

You don't get my point. After it has been established that there must be a necessary being then we will explain that necessary being is Allah according to Quran and Sunnah. We only define his names and attributes of Allah according to what he has revealed.
