I would like to have a conversation but I can't. And I don't have a friend who speaks English. One of my big dreams is to speak English and give a speech one day.

That's right, thank you for sharing. Personally, every day I try to spend time improving my listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. But my listening ability is weaker, so I spend more time listening to English.

@@ohlala90 I was born in Thailand and English was not very common 10 years in the past unlike India ( almost 90% of Indian are able to communicate English but 90% Thai cant )
I used to learn English by finding books and read and noted, so it improved me only spelling and meaning but lacking of listening and speaking.
I used to have my tests at college and appeared highest score was writing but lowest one was speaking .
The thing is Hmong is my native language
      Thai is my 2nd language
      Lao is my 3rd
      English is my 4th language
Thats y it is not easy for me to learn English

@@user-je6gw3py8m Absolutely, it's impressive that you're managing multiple languages already! Improving your English listening and speaking skills can be challenging, but here are some focused tips to help:
Listening Practice: Increase your exposure to spoken English through podcasts, movies, and CZcams videos. Choose topics you're interested in to make it more enjoyable.
Speaking Practice: Try language exchange apps or websites where you can practice speaking with native English speakers. This real-time conversation practice can significantly improve your fluency and confidence.
Interactive Tools: Use interactive English learning tools and apps designed to improve listening and speaking skills. Many offer exercises that simulate conversation and provide feedback.
Consistent Practice: Dedicate specific times for listening and speaking practice. Consistency is key to improvement, especially with languages.
You’re doing a fantastic job juggling multiple languages! Keep practicing, and you'll see your English skills improve just like your writing.

It is very nice, thank you very much.I want to ask a question about the reading method. Is it best to read while listening to your text? Or better to listen the text first without reading and watching it. If there are parts of words I don’t understand, then listen to it second time and watching the text for reading at the same time.?

    • @ohlala90
      @ohlala90  Před 24 dny

Thank you for your kind words! Regarding your question about the reading method, here are a few strategies you can try:
Reading While Listening: This method allows you to follow the text as you listen to it. It helps you connect the written words with their pronunciation, which can improve both your reading and listening skills. This approach is excellent for understanding pronunciation and enhancing comprehension.
Listening First: By listening to the text without reading, you can focus entirely on the spoken words. If there are parts you don’t understand, you can listen to it again while following along with the text. This method helps you concentrate on auditory comprehension first, and then use the text to clarify any confusion.
Combination Approach: Start by listening to the text to get a general understanding. If there are parts you find difficult, listen to it a second time while reading the text simultaneously. This approach reinforces your learning by using both listening and reading skills.
Experiment with these methods to see which works best for you. Everyone learns differently, so it’s important to find the approach that fits your learning style. Happy learning!

Hello! Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience. It sounds like you're on the right path by practicing your reading in English. Understanding the meaning of what you read can indeed be challenging at first. Here are a few tips that might help you:
Use a Dictionary: Keep an English dictionary handy (a mobile app or online dictionary works great) to look up words you don't know. This will slowly build your vocabulary and help with understanding.
Context Clues: Try to guess the meaning of words from the context of the sentence. Look at the sentences around the word for hints about what it could mean.
Reading Aloud: Sometimes, reading the text aloud can help you understand better. It engages another sense and can make the meaning clearer.
Simple Texts: Start with simpler texts that are appropriate for your level. Children’s books and simple articles are great because they use easier language and are usually more straightforward.
Practice Regularly: The more you read, the better you'll get. Try to make reading a regular part of your day, even if it's just for a few minutes.
Don’t get discouraged; every new word you learn is a step forward in your language journey. Keep going, you're doing great! 🌟
