Hello, I’m Joe - I’m a guitar player, singer-songwriter, producer, recording engineer and teacher!
On this channel you’ll find my original songs, covers and solo fingerstyle guitar arrangements. My favorite music doesn’t fit neatly in a box so you may hear me play folk, blues, jazz, & classic rock - you can call it what you want; I feel honored to speak this timeless language of melody, harmony & rhythm.
I was born on May 25th 1991 in Kempsey, NSW, Australia. Since 2010 I have been based in the US and currently live in the Rocky Mountains of Montana with my wife, Genevieve (who teaches illustration on CZcams!).
I play Maton acoustic guitars, made in Australia (just like me) and am very proud to have my own signature instrument, the JR Signature!

A Beatlemaniac since my teens in the 70s, my favorite Beatles song has changed over the years. But for a long time now it's been "Blackbird." I suppose it's not their most inventive or most ground-breaking or most collaborative tune. But it's just gorgeous. And you really did it justice here. Bravo! -Tom

As it came up to the instrumental section I thought to myself, “surely he’s gonna pull off some seemingly impossible fingerstlye bad-assery for a solo.” Then to my surprise you carried on. Which blew me away even more! Showing such constraint, being so in tune with the original intent of the song, all the while producing a beautifully embellished yet reserved rendition. Blew me away for a reason I wasn’t anticipating. True musical awareness. Well done Joe!

Joe - I've been a huge fan since hearing "Daddy Longlicks" years ago - love all your youtube concerts and everything you're putting out there. Listening to your music inspired me to really get back to trying new things on guitar and made it fun to play every single day again.
