    Very cool i saw this on TV once, a show where they showed you the inner workings of pinsetter machines, very interesting stuff.

    i work in a bowling ally and im not the tech so was nice too know most of the basics maybe help me if one of the techs leaves

    @kbowlgod300 i was just kiddin, a simpson episode suggested that it takes a whole tree to make a single pin, and since then I always found the idea pretty amusing to think of.

    Very little electronics used in the pin setters. Only in the scoring system, which is pretty much separate. The setters just use a lot of camshafts and cam followers (as was shown), swinging arms and control rods. Very Rube Goldberg like. lol
