they did the yogpod way earlier than any minecraft stuff, i think they started videos in 2008, all about WOW, only in 2011 they started SOI, wich still has been almost 7 years now o_0 i didnt really watch them much before SOI tho, but i did see some of their vids that my guildies shared with me
I don't live in the UK, but I'll remember this story. If ever I move there and am in need of a futon instead of a bed, I will go out of my way to buy from another company.
the Yelp page for The Futon Company is hilarious, all the bad reviews have been marked as "not recommended" by them, and they are all pretty much the same experience lewis had, their salesmen use sleasy tricks like saying the prices will be going up soon, to force people into buying right away, and their delivery people are rude and just dump 200 pound packages outside on the curb and demand 40 pounds for it lol, horrible company. and if you have anything that needs repairing or replacing? forget about it, they yell and swear at you and completely ignore photographic evidence
I work as a delivery driver, and we would generally charge £20 ish for that kind of job. And people think we're expensive sometimes. Lewis got ripped off big time there.
@@algumnomeaihehe no need, you can ask your bank to charge back instead of getting a refund from the company if a breach of contract has been made. Eg futon not delivered even though that was originally agreed upon. Then the bank can charge back the account (as far as I understand it)

Surely there's some sort of government-run consumer protection agency in the U.K. that the company could be reported to, he could've said no to the driver and called back the company saying that he won't pay for shipping twice, there are always things that can be done.
They have to allow cancellations and returns by law. If he had mentioned that it would have greased the wheels a bit, I'm sure. Trading Standards and the Consumer Rights Act should have covered all of these cases if he had bothered to make more of an issue of it.

What made me laugh is that I've had to build these Futon's before and he's not kidding, it's as if that person that designed these things was either a Sadist or mentally ill. This just made me feel bad for Lewis. Also blows my mind, these things aren't cheap but their made of the cheapest materials; tin-foil frames and screws and toothpicks pretty much. Modern furniture is flipping trash.

Having recently moved flat and hearing Lewis' story, I've realised that I need some "flat pack friends." I know that you can pay folk to help you, but I'd be more than happy to help two other people in their endeavours if it meant that they'd help me out when I needed it!
I got a desk from this company and Lewis is right about flat pack nightmare, it isn't very well designed, mine had missing holes for where you where supposed to attach the legs so we have to drill the hole ourselves, the desk draw was to big for its slot so we literal had to very very careful cut part of it so it would fit in the space. Luckily my dads a builder so he knows how to fix it with out breaking it. when you buy a flat pack product you expect to read the instruction and fit it all together with all the pieces already made for you, with correct measurements. Don't buy from them not worth time or money

Oh god, futons are the biggest scam ever. When I went to Uni, I got a futon and it was the most price of shit thing ever. It didn’t work because the fucking sofa bit didn’t stay as a sofa and it was the most annoying piece of shit ever. Never buy a futon!!!

just invoice the company, then go to small claims court and rake them in, just make it more trouble for them than doing the work in the first place
