HOW TO PREPARE GHANA JOLLOF RICE 1

  • Welcome back to my channel: Jollof rice is the Star Of the Day!

    this is my recipe, enjoy!
    Ingredients:
    -4 or more cup of rice depending on the quantity you are preparing (I used Basmati rice)
    -1kg of chicken or other meat you like.
    -3+1 scotch bonnet pepper
    -green beans or other vegetables
    -carrots
    -1 tube tomato puree (200g) or about 4 to 5 TBS
    -1 can chopped of plum tomatoes
    -3 onions
    -oil
    salt, chicken stock cube, maggi Cubes according to your taste of course
    -jollof Seasoning(optional)
    -Curry powder
    In order to steam your chicken you need:
    -Ginger, 4 cloves of garlic, 1 pepper 9 (half an onion later on)

    best recipe videos ive seen.. instructions are on point. thank you so much for taking your time and actually explaing on how to do it properly... im a greek girl with a love of african food but the way its all prepared and the spices used are so different so i been so confused on methods, etc. now i actually know what iam doing lol.. once again thank you so much x

    Living in the US, I first ate Jollof rice at my friend's home (who's from Ghana). I must admit it brought me to tears since it reminded me of the Indian dish called pulao which is sort of similar to Jollof rice but a tad bit spicier. This recipe is spot on. If there are people who feel that they're missing Jollof rice, please use this video. I have personally experienced the difficulties of not being able to eat homemade food outside the country.     I appreciate you sharing your recipes and listing the directions. This is the second recipe I copy and turn out to be good. I’m American woman my husband is Ghanaian and he told me that the jollif spaghetti was the best dish that I did and I been with him 3 years
    So that tell you I’m not a great cook.
    Your videos have definitely have brought some happiness in my house . He enjoys

      I think its nigerians who parboil their rice, we Ghanaians don't parboil, we let the stew cook the rice al the way through, that's why we make the best jollof..
