    The FJ Cruiser was my first vehicle at 16 years old (12 years ago lol) and I still have it, at 28 years old lol. It has VERY low mileage, so I just keep it maintained now, because it will be worth a fortune, some day lol.

      That is so cool! You're probably one of the few that had an FJ as your first vehicle.

      same, first car at 16, i’m 21 now and just starting to look into building it. Nice to come across 🤙🏽

      @@iam1johnsoda292 Nice! Build it up for how you will use it! I am lucky enough to have had mine since she was new! I didn't do much to my FJ, but my 2019 4Runner TRD Off Road is very built up! First thing I did was install a Magnuson supercharger (you can get one the the FJ too!), then i lifted etc to fit 35" KO2s (I love KO2s!), have Fox 2.5 DSC Remote Reservoir shocks, a Victory 4x4 Blitz slim winch bumper. I also have a rear seat delete because i have her set up for car camping. That is the short version lol.
      I'm keeping my low mileage FJ pristine to sell for a fortune some day lol

    I own a 07 yota fj cruiser 6 speed manual with 244k , over land build , I don't have any shims in my steering at high speeds my build is a 6in pro comp lift sitting on 35x12.50x18 Mickey Thompson tires Baja boss , arb bull bumper warn winch , expedition one dual.swing out for tire and dual Jerry cans I have roto packs but I like jerry cans better because I can use my siphon hose without holding the jerry cans to re fuel , I ordered custom seat covers by clazzio seats , I installed a Magnuson supercharger to help because she heavy now and you really noticed the power when you need it but fuel mileage sucks only 200 miles to a tank of fuel premium is required now , my A pillar light bar bracket by db costomz , I have a curved light bar , front runner roof rack , arb rooftop tent , arb awning, I kept the factory plastic wheel fender flares , replaced rear plastic trim on rear door and corner with metal by warrior products , rear fold down table on rear door by orange boxx and molle panels above glove box by orange boxx and in rear cargo area by orange boxx, I swap out rear tail lights to 2014 style tail light replaced factory head lights to clear corners that turn amber when on and headlight that looks like a u when in park mode that stays on when lights on don't remember the brand , I added a hood solar panel to keep my dual battery set up charged, swap out the mirrors light to led bright white made huge difference be careful taking out rear view mirror on door or tou break then there a certain way they pull off I broke one , I plan to install 488 gears to see if my gas mileage gets back to Toyota range on a fj I should get 285 to 300 now I struggle just to get 200 to a tank , I also have spod for lights a dual arb compressor, along with power tank , I don't think I add a long range gas tank that's adding more weight plus I have 2 5 gallon jerry cans for a total of 29 gallons , I have both the curved light bar and 4 ibf offroad 6in round light that really gose the distance for lighting, final a front runner dual drawer storage box , I go do rocks crawling but I buit mine for overlanding style camping mine a black body white top I have 5 overlanding builds yota one of my favorites my h3t hummer truck buit out my 05 jeep wrangler unlimited Rubicon 4.0 with sprintex supercharger buit out this the one I do the most off road crawling with , my current build is my 07 land rover lr3 only gave 1100. For this off of copart clen title runs good but land rovet very sensitive put you in limp mode when things go wrong , and a jeep commander 5.7 v8 hemi plenty of power you may think I drop a mint dope just good timing all under 10k except hummer truck very rare mine a 5.3 v8 alpha I wanted a gladiator but didn't want the proce tag plus build I don't need a 80k build so I think you can do so much more on any build if you look for a deal yota on same level as a jeep depending on what you building it for good luck mayb c u on trails

    Great video! I look forward to more. As far as the fj my fj is one of the better handling off-roaders I’ve owned. I own several nice new cars and I get what you mean,going from my m340 to my fj takes quite a bit of driver adjustment but as far as suvs it rides and handles great compared to say a jku with a solid axel front and rear

    Got a 2011 tan fj last may and have loved it so far. It came with pretty nice tires but the two things i am thinking about upgrading are the bumper and the lift. What would you recommend for both of those? Also i think you are a super underated creator.

    I’m from New England . If you ever get together with a bunch of Fjs hit me up. I’m headed to climb Mt Washington this weekend with my son.

    Very helpful video! I have a 2012 TTSE that I’m building to overland and again, this was helpful. Even my steering wheel slightly vibrates at speeds of 80 MPH. Did you have to do a BMC on your rig with those 33” tires?

    • @OutboundIntent
      @OutboundIntent  Před rokem +1

      Glad it was helpful, that sounds like an awesome rig! And yes to fit the 33s you have to do a slight body mount chop (it isn’t as extreme as if you wanted 35s)

    The amber lights on the side mirror, what brand are those?

    • @OutboundIntent
      @OutboundIntent  Před rokem

      Those to my knowledge are stock bulbs (there was a previous owner so they may have changed the bulbs but it looks like the stock bulb)

    Had those same halos. They are garbage those halo leds will continue to die over the course of a year or two. Headlights go first then the led on the indicator light. I had to replace mine after the scattered blinking and dead spots became to much

      Facts, I am not a fan of the quality of these lights

    Thanks for the content buddy. Is the color the factory Sandstorm or did you guys do a custom paint job?

      Thanks for watching 👊 this is quicksand, the first year they used this color on a non TRD model.

    Are those the dna motoring halos? How tough are they to install if you have no idea how to wire haha?

      Correct! They aren't too tough to install and it is pretty basic wiring
