This is the fifth lesson of my mini Complete Electric Guitar Course to learn how to play the guitar easily. In the tutorial we will see the first scale to improvise a solo with the Electric Guitar, with a tutorial on the pentatonic scale used in rock and blues!

The most important scale for a guitarist, and the first we will see is the minor pentatonic scale, universally used by guitarists of all musical genres: from rural blues to metal, it is the basis of the best solos in rock history.
Structurally it is made up of 5 sounds, hence the name tonic PENTA.
Although there are 5 fingerings or boxes along the entire neck, in this lesson we will focus only on the first pattern that will have to be studied and memorized. Later it will be possible to add the others, arriving at interconnecting all the schemes, so that the passage along the whole keyboard becomes fluid and natural.
The first pattern includes a range of more than two octaves and is built around the shape of the power chord seen in the second lesson of this complete electric guitar course, with the root note on the sixth string played with the first finger. I explain it to you in the video!

Quando si improvvisa un assolo, tendenzialmente, è sempre meglio usare la plettrata alternata? Cmq usando una base è molto più intuitivo andare a tempo, anche se inizialmente mi viene da suonare una nota per ogni "battito" 😅
La plettrata dipende dalla frase che vuoi suonare, dalla velocità, dal suono che cerchi...
