Brought back memories of my dad offering to watch our 2 year old, so I could shop in peace. He had severe heart disease (among other things), and would literally fall asleep, if he sat down more than 5 minutes. That was a big "Thanks Daddy, but I like taking her to the store. Its GREAT!" 😏😄 The very few times that kid napped without a long, drawn out prenap process were while laying on Daddy, as HE slept in his chair.

So great, my grandpa was actually great with tech. But, my fave grandma in the world, my fave person for that matter, when she would call my cell phone and get the voicemail she would keep saying, “Andi, pick up. Andi, it’s grandma”. Because she didn’t get that I couldn’t hear her like a reg answering machine. I told her a million times, never changed…I miss those messages!

We've all got that one relative that can't hear AT ALL...and they think no one else can either. You hold the phone a full arm's length from your ear, when they talk. It was my recently deceased uncle. 20 years in submarines left the man deaf as a door nail. I miss him. There's nothing like yelling something 4 times over the phone.

I feel ya'. I have elderly neighbors I'm always showing things like camera functions, photo access, textmessages, etc. It never sticks. Meanwhile, I have an 84 year old aunt that has a basic jitterbug phone. She keeps it off to save the battery.😏😄🙄

my gma was scammed out of $14k! she was convinced my cousin was in legal trouble in Florida. they told her that she was arrested because she was in a taxi who's driver was in a drug ring. and there were drugs in the trunk. oh but they told her not to bother calling her cell because they confiscated it and we'd be getting her in even more trouble by trying to make contact. After she told me a few days later, i called my cousin and handed the phone to my grandma, who was FURIOUS i called, and then was crushed when my cousin was like uuummm I've been here at home this whole time.

My grandparents have been married for 70 years this year. They are both so cute and have hearing trouble so they will sit on the living room and shout at each other from across the room just to hear. It’s pretty funny honestly. And both still have pretty sharp minds for people on their 90s. They are definitely couple goals.
