Your make-up & hair are gorgeous! Excellent tutorial. I like the way you pulled only the crochet hair through the crochet needle, it does look way less bulky, than if you would've pulled your hair with it. I will definately try this method.

How the hell did u part your your I’m tired of not being able to part my hair and Finna cry because I can’t I’ll have my momma part mines but I be having to catch her on a day when she feels like doing it😭
The Doll House ngl girl i was struggling so bad, i had to get my mom to help me at parts but since I’m a perfectionist i wasn’t about to stop until i got parts that were good enough😭 it just take a lot of time, patience, and practice. Now it’s a lot easier to part my hair since I have way more experience than i did then😭.
As someone who is a kitchen beautician while doing my hair and multiple other people's heads, I feel like this tip will be best for you: when parting your own hair you want to do it twice and meet in the middle. Part from your ear to your crown, then do the same thing for the other side and you'll have a perfectly straight even part.

I’ve done mine multiple times but couldn’t keep them in long because my real hair would legit pop out! Any tips?
The same thing actually happened to me , they lasted about 2-3 weeks max but i think it’s because i didn’t wrap the hair tight enough and i should’ve braided my natural hair instead of putting it in Twists bc they eventually unraveled and started peeking out through the faux locs. If anything and they got too bothersome I’d just wrap another faux loc around to conceal my hair more and that worked like a charm.

Marie G the first time I tried especially with the rubber bands it did it a lot but I think my second or third time I forget exactly I didn’t use rubber bands at the ends and I looped in the braid in accordance to the way the “dread” was made during the twisting the braid into the dread part and the very ends I just kept twisting until their was no more of my real braided hair left to put into the dread

Great video! I did this method on my mom and sister... we used the Bobbi Boss Nu Locs and are seeing a lot of unraveling and their natural hair keeps showing through. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this?
whenever it did that i usually went in with any extra hair I have and wrapped over it, and that usually did the job😭

What is the hair color number that you got?
So! I got ones VERY similar to these off amazon bc I needed them quicker than AliExpress could deliver, however, they only had 18in. Can these be extended, too, the same way you did in your other faux loc video?
Yes, I’m assuming you can but it might not turn out as well with these locs since the other video had more natural looking locs compared to these.
Gotcha! I’ll stick to the length it is, then! Question! I just got this hair today maybe 20 mins ago. I’m debating going ahead and doing it now, bc I’ve done my hair similar to this (passion twists) and it took me about 4-5 hrs to do. How long did this style take you? This would be my first time working with crochet locs.
This was my first time ever doing a protective style on my hair so it took me about 8 hours if i remember correctly, because i had a hard time parting my hair by myself, but if you’re more experienced it shouldn’t take you that long at all 😭

If I remember correctly it took me about 7 hours but only bc this was my first time ever doing a protective style, let alone doing it on myself. If you have more experience then I’m sure it’ll go by much faster for you :)
