as someone who carries my sketchbook everywhere, they get banged up and knocked over ALL the time. i think this would be a fun project to do AFTER you finish up a sketchbook! especially for artists who keep their sketchbooks, i think it'd be neat to do this to each one after it's completed. you can even theme it according to what is in the sketchbook
perfect idea yeah it can definitely end up getting banged up pretty quick sliding around in bags and whatnot so yeah probably best to do it when it's done or if you don't take it anywhere and store it safely
Okay, I think I'm going to do that... That idea is just way too good not to XD
@@mrsneeze903 )
You are right👍👍👍
It looks like a cross over of “the book of the dead” from the evil dead and “the book” from Hocus Pocus. Absolutely love!!
boooooooooook*
That is what I was thinking
Yes, I agree with these book choices, and I'll even add Harry Potter's Monster Book of Monsters.
Me: Man how'd he get this staple details so good
Ace of clay: *uses real staples
Brilliant idea, isn't it? 😉
He did
Hehehe
Me: man that skin looks really realistic
Ace of clay:**uses real skin**
@@bismofunyuns726
Man, those eyes are really realistic.
Ace of Clay: *uses real eyes*
this is the most disgusting thing i have ever seen in my life
I LOVE IT
next you should do the headless horseman or a kelpie
Headless horseman on a kelpie 🤷♂️
I would love to see a Swamp Kelpie from him! 🤩💚
Omg I really wanna see him do the headless horseman 😍😍😍🎃🎃🎃
The Headless Horsemen would be awesome! (You might need to make the Horse and his Rider in 2 pieces)
A kelpie would be fantastic. That or a selkie.
That looks like a notebook a Garbage Pail Kid would carry to class with them.
Hi fellow army 💜💜
I would love one, for myself
Endo pop insert creepy eyelashes for a girl version and freckles 😂😂😅
💅👁👄👁💅
I’m big brain so you know ✌️ 👁👄👁 🖕
I would title this masterpiece “I only have Eyes for You!”
Ooooh! Winnie Sanderson is gonna be jealous!!! I love it ♥
If I don't see a headless horseman on a rearing horse holding his evil, grinning pumpkin head in one hand this Halloween, I WILL riot
Love when u customise things how about a zombie unicorn? I’d love to see one in ur style 🧟🦄
idea for a challenge: sculpt something using only your tools (no hands/fingers at all) or using only your hands, no other tools allowed
I’ve actually done the only my hands thing and it’s not that hard but it is with realistic things
@@orion5525 I can imagine!
It’s terrifying, Ace...
I love it.
I literally just linked someone the video of your other sketchbook cover yesterday! Been watching since the first few sculptures, absolutely love seeing how the shelf behind you in your intro started out bare but is now filled with so many cool sculptures. The way you make eyes like in this one, is just absolute perfection and I love the creepy stuff a lot in general. Keep up the great work!
I also tried Super Sculpey for the first time a while ago, inspired by your sculptures! I have only ever used Fimo before but that Super Sculpey feels so good in my hands and blends so well, I think I like it more...
I love this! I just made the Hocus Pocus spell book with one eyeball, and made it out of Sculpey clay. Mine is attached to a wooden book box. Mine is ok, and not nearly as realistic, but yours is so cool! I wish I had seen this before making mine. Thank you for sharing! So glad to be back to Halloween! 👻🎃
Consider making Audrey 2 from the Little Shop of Horrors for spooky season? I would love to see what you do with it!
From one artist to another AND someone who just had major back surgery that included 25 staples ..... GREAT JOB!! That was also fun to watch. Thanks!
It definitely looks real. Seeing you do clusters of eyeballs always makes me want to see you do a shoggoth. Actually I'd love to see you do a whole series of Lovecraft themed sculpts.
With regard to the final presentation moments of the piece, when you wheel it around and shine different for lights on it, it might be a good idea for you to have a dark to dim to bright transition, perhaps slowly pulling the piece into a super soft light, out of darkness.
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the fact he can upload every week
This was my favorite piece he’s made thus far. I really enjoyed this book cover because the details- the whispy fabric as the eye veins, the multiple layers of washes, the eye lid creases. And I am BEYOND happy that he really evened out the texture of the cover with the clay softener. Simple but executed amazingly. Much love ❤️
This would be a good project for a gift. You can put anything on it.
I hope you do more one of these and Little Nightmares characters soon 😊
Also great work 😁👍
The Hocus Pocus vibes are legendary✨
Underrated comment 🤷♀️
Eye lashes would really set that off. It's cool.
I love the way you make the eyes. You did that before many times, but I just want to say I love them.
That would look great framed on a wall. Awesome work there!
the staples brought it to the next level
Omg this actually looks so easy I thought it was going to be sooooo hard! You did a fantastic job!
The eyes look pretty darn real. Very imaginative. Thank you!
I loved watching you make the eyeballs ... It was kinda relaxing ... Thank you, I needed that 😌
dude..... if you sold this... i would buy all of them no cap! This cover is just wow! honestly ace of clay you are the creepiest (good way) and coolest art youtuber i know!
I'm getting some big Necronomicon vibes from this one. I love it.
No matter where you're staring at it from, there is at least one eye staring right back.
I don't even need to watch the entire video before I hit the like button! I already know you're about to kill it!
I love your use of the staples!
The eyes turned out creepy as all get out ! 😲😲😲 The pupils look so real. 👀👀👀
Imagine this with eyes that could look around at random. lol
You are a genius. I have a 12 year old stepson who would love this!!!
The irises of the eyes on the notebook match Anthony's almost perfectly... It creeps me out. Cool.
it’s so cool to see lot of the techniques i use for sfx makeup also being applicable to sculpting! love the creepy fleshy creations!
Top 2 eyes are so derpy, love it
An evil siren would look very cool!
I get heavy necronomicon vibes from this and I love it
You should do your own version of the characters from Caroline!
Omg this is a masterpiece how on earth did he made that put a like if you guys agree!
You’re the reason I got into clay, super Sceptile polymer clay. Thank you for the advice and videos. Please continue with all the videos and pointers they are life savers. 🤙🏻👍🏻
I saw everything, and the eyes have it, ...cool!
You know its scary when you end up having a nightmare about it *before even watching the video*
I love how much you improve with skin the more you sculpt it--
The first step to entering spooky season: watch coraline to get into the spooky season mood that you totally haven’t been in all year long cuz it’s so much fun
I challenge you to sculpt any of the Bloodborne Bosses, I particularly like Vicar Amelia, but you can choose any Boss you like or find it easier :)
I love these creepy ones! I would love to see your take on "The Great Pumpkin" the Halloween Peanuts character, Family Guy did their own creepy take but I want to see yours.
That is sick!! Looks amazing! I think the only thing (imo) missing is eye lashes lol
Would love to see your version of a skin walker or Dogman!
Scary stories to tell in the dark? Also great work👍
Ace of clay is so talented
why is this satisfying
A great Halloween special would be making the headless horsemen with his horse. Sometimes the horse is headless too.
I so look forward to your sculps. You are they only and the first i've ever subscribed to. Your voice is so soothing and calming. I so look forward every week to your posting of the next sculp every week.
I love it ! This October you should do a realistic looking Frankenstein’s monster or a goat.
I could see those eyes moving and watching it's owner move around the room. So creepy and cool!
Your channel grew so beautifully and organically. ☺️
This reminds me of a game called "Inside"
It's kind of creepy but I loved it
I really love the custom sketchbook designs you come up with! Thats a lot more creative then what I do on my sketchbook covers.
That’s bomb! The staples were the perfect touch.
Yesssss this is the stuff. Awesome dude!!
This is really great and SO CLOSE to what I'm looking for. I'm trying my hand again at the Hocus Pocus Spellbook. My first try was a present to my son. I even tea-stained paper and had a lot of content (learned about book binding as well!). I was hoping you had made it and I could get a much better product the second time around. This may be as close as I get UNLESS you PLEASE made a video on how you would make the Hocus Pocus Spellbook--that would be SUPER. I used air-dry clay for my pieces (it was the first time ever working with clay) and I regretted it because the darn pieces kept breaking and cracking. I now know I should have used baked clay instead thanks to your videos. I really love all your "creepy" characters you've made and while I don't hope to be NEARLY as good as you (quite doubtful indeed), I am sure anything will be a step up from my last attempt. Do please consider making the book as I think you'll do the best one yet out here in cyberspace (and it would be SUPER HELPFUL for me!). Thanks!
Honestly you should be a movie prop maker
I love it! I can't believe how great you are at color and texture. It's truly amazing. I probably would've covered all sides with the skin (eyes only on front) to make it look like the book was actually made out of human leather instead of just glued on top, ya know? That's literally the only thing I would change about this. It's absolutely AMAZING.
That's right up my alley. I have a thing for eyes 👍
Awesome! Those eyes look so real. Ugh, but they are staring at me!!! Great idea to use staples.
Love your sculptures, but would love to see you try something totally out of your wheelhouse, like a cute character!
if you ever do another sketchbook cover, you should do your own take of a necronomicon/grimoire
I love the sketchbook covers you make, they are just so amazing 😍😍
Nice work. One of my favorite pieces of yours thus far.
Please make Nøkken, would love to see your interpretation of it
Madziajki Makkink a creature living in waters that would drown kids if they got to close. Probably a story parents told children for them not to go to the water alone
Yessssss creepy sketchbook! I love it. The staples were a fantastic touch.
I love seeing these kind of sculpts. I have a hard cover sketch book that I think I might do something like this to.
Great job with this! I love that the whites of the eyes aren't perfect, they look like this whole thing has been Frankensteined together.
*Wall Of Flesh Has Awoken!*
Being a horror fan, you should make the Necronomicon Ex Mortis (Army of Darkness) next!
Man it would have been super cool to do the eyes different colors!
You have so much patience doing the tiny work like the staples. Maybe you take a lot of breaks. I'd go nuts. 😉😁👋
man im watching this at 2am and at 2:45 i hear a wierd freaking noise, i thot my house was being abdused but it was a sound effect from the video
omg my heart
LOVE THIS!
This is so cool! Hoping to see more mixed media creations of yours in the future. I love all your stuff.
I love how the book cover turned out 😍 I'm in general a big fan of your work with kinda skin looking effects!
The paint job completely transforms your sculptures u are very good at painting and making the sculptures look so realistic. The paint has to be one of the most important steps of the sculptures.
Looks spooktacular
It looks great! I think it would be interesting if you incorporated different skintones into the stapled together skin and added lashed to the eyes too!
I love those, the whool for the veins is SO dawrn effective!
Next you should do a hydra
Loved the real staples man!
Great eyes, Amazing.x💕🏴
You think of every detail. Too cool!
That's so good, super creepy I love it
That's so creepy, I love it!
I love it. The skin texture is great! So realistic. If you do another stitched skin vary the skintone on each piece. I think that would give it an even more realistic look.
16:45 "my creepy Frankenstein sketch book cover" that's like a amazon product title
So cool. Love how It makes me feel like I am really being watched.
Big fan of your creepiness. Awesome job!
Love this slimy cover! I don’t have cabochons, but I have a resin eye tray thing with cutouts! Will give it a shot! Thanks for all you’re tutorials! It has sparked much needed inspiration in me , I appreciate you and you’re creative energy! 😻🥰
