Great video! Especially the editing overlays. In game 1 I’m curious what else Matty had in his hand that caused him to keep resourcing in the late game. Going to such a high resource total as a Sabine deck feels weird at first glance.
Thank you for the feedback! Mike was actually on Sabine, our overlay was wrong. Whoops! Likely he resourced so he could do multiple things per turn. There are times you want to get to 8 if cards are completely dead.
We will work on getting the hands viewable.

Woohoo IRL!! These overlays are top tier. Not sure what the mic situation is but the sound is a little muffled/hollow if that makes sense.

Nice. I like the overlays. Crazy that series came down to ECL deathtrooper into the 5/5. Without a clean way to deal with that i think Sabine rolls.

Apologies if I've missed it, but can you tell me the differences between the current iteration of the Iden deck and sb and the one linked?
This version had 2 Gideon 1 Rukh, No superlaser, +2 Make An opening, -1 Traitorous +1 Resupply. The list is still in flux as the meta develops!

I haven’t found a spot for del meeko. I’d rather have cell block and the 3 slot is pretty jammed. Right now I have been trying without slb but into an open meta I like one main one sideboard.
Is the linked decklist for Iden the most up to date? I saw in another comment Gideon and one Superlaser in main mentioned. Thanks for the video!

In G1, why have you decided to go Ground instead of Space?
Having a Xwin into Leader imho seems stronger than the ground counterpart.
In G2: Not sure what your sideboarding was exactly, but I am not sure about resourcing U-Wing. It's costly, but I'd keep it against Iden.
In the matchup I prefer ground so that may have just been my default. I'll give it another look. As for Uwing, I just can't jam my hand up w that all game. If I don't get some damage in it doesn't matter, I need that as a closer only.
The control decks have many replies to the ground, also avoiding them to ramp if you’re in the space.
Not exactly the same matchup, but a double U-Wing gave a win to Sabine against Chewy in top8 match in Poland.
I'd have to go back and rewatch the game 1to see if it would actually make a difference or not. But I think Sabine should 100% claim the turn he plays cellblock instead of swinging wing leader for 2 damage. Iden only had 2 resources up and ECL used so no answer for a 3 HP Steadfast. You just then swing 7 into the Cellblock doing 4 overwhelm (which is already 2 more dmg than what the wing leader did last turn) I think because you didn't have a for a cause though, the game would have been short like 2 damage. But who knows how play lines would have been different because of the extra pressure.

Would you recommend 2x superlaser blast in the main going into a big tournament? I'm going to a 256 player cap tournament in London this weekend and am trying to tweak my Iden list so any thoughts are appreciated! I have cut one dooku for one gideon as he overperformed for me at my last event.
I would play max one in the main. I’ve liked playing make an opening main into all the bobas I’ve seen lately. Gideon is great I run a split between him and rukh. 2/1 depending on who you like better.

@@SWU_KTOD thanks! I agree with one main. Can get you out of so many tight spots. ATM I'm running 2x rukh, 1x Gideon and one Dooku. I have two make an openings in my main deck too. Got an event tomorrow to test my current list. Will let you know how it goes :)

I ended up going 5-3 and coming 54th, which is not too bad. I ended up building the Polish list that came 3rd, fighting the aggro decks with maindeck Yularen etc. It did mean I wasn't as effective again my three losses, which were Solo, Vader and Andor.@@SWU_KTOD

G2, I don't get the decision by the iden deck to resource the only T1 play. What was the thought process there?
Your goal with that opening hand is to claim and deal with their turn one play. If I had played a turn one play then he claims and can fleet or wing leader me. Here my power of the dark side is live and saves me 5hp.
@@SWU_KTOD Ok, so that decision was fully based on not having the initiative, knowing that none of those 2 drops will deal with any of their common 2 drops? What about keeping 2 PotDS? It was used T2 to kill their T1 play. Maybe save the other one to use on T3 to kill their T2 play?
I assume dropping the probe and keeping Yularen was similar in G3? They are going to want to kill it because of his effect?

I totally should have kept 2 PotDS in game 3. I watched that back and did not have kind words for myself.
but yeah, similar plan. if they kill yularen it basically healed me. plan didnt work as well in g3 as you saw. I think I could have played that one better.
@@SWU_KTOD I assume you meant keeping PotDS x 2 game 2 (you only had one for game 3). In that case you drop both 2 drops, giving you tempo both turns. Was the a reason to keep the snowtrooper over the inferno four being it's a land unit? You had a ECL Viper to handle any flyers, but lose out on scry 2.

Do you guys think Matty may have been better off in game 3 claiming instead of playing Yularen and killing the pathfinder action 1 of round 2? Prevents the fleet lieutenant play and it felt like that really snowballed Sabine that game
100% - I keep looking back at that play and wonder why I didn’t follow the usual gameplan that has been so successful for me. Even I goof up my own gameplan. Game is hard. -Matty

The sound of your car is moving in the sleeves is extremely loud. Remember to put a compressor on the audio to get rid of that. Also, I highly recommend you guys say what you are playing all the time. It’s easier to fall along then.

I’m not knocking the gameplay down. It’s great to see games physically played out. BUT…as a veteran TCG player, I had to immediately click off when you bridge shuffled. I’m sure most TCG vets that caught that seethed at the moment.
