To anyone wondering. we didn’t play 8 ball scratch equals a loss in this version throughout the game (just at the end) due to the size of the balls + the added difficulty of aiming with your foot. That’s why we didn’t acknowledge it whenever it happened in the game. We had to change a few rules throughout the game to make things work better

Technically you didn't play it wrong, you have to pocket the 8-ball then scratch to lose. Just scratching when you don't hit the 8-ball in doesn't result in a loss. It's a misconception by people who randomly play pool at bars or in home, instead at actual tournaments o3o
You should check out the Hearthsong website, see if they have Golf Pool. Mini golf+Pool=A very fun challenge
I would make it so you can hit other peoples ball first before hitting yours too. I agree with you in changing some of the rules up to make this more playable.
After you break the triangle and a ball goes in it's still considered open table but you do get to shoot again

If I remember, if you hit the 8 ball, and then scratch, it's game over. Really, if it's just the 8 ball left and you miss it entirely due to personal error and then scratch, then it's not game over, you just instead feel a lot of shame.

this rule depends on what league you are playing in. in professional 8 Ball on a proper four and a half by 9 ft table a foul is a foul it doesn't matter what ball its on.
but there is another League that is known as the bar table League at least where I come from if you foul on the 8 ball then it's loss of game.
Now this is just making me want to see a minigolf pool.
Just curious why you chose to break in the beginning with the cue ball so close to the others? Should've been placed further back to give it a good schwacking to break them up.

so technically elisha isn't doing good at golf as she yous to in the past but beating brooks at connect 4 golf and now soccer pool, she's kinda a pretty amazing thing actually.
Brooks you said earlier, hitting the 8 or not your ball was like a scratch....ball in hand. Now that it would make it alot easier on 2 and 1(yellow and blue), your saying no ball in hand. We love your videos, and i would miss one, but ive noticed for a long time , you do not like to loose. Secretively of course.

Um... Well... At least you guys know how to play mini golf 😀! I know you guy take a few "liberties" with some of the rules. For entertainment purposes, but wow! I think the rules changed a half dozen times in this game 😂! Still fun to watch! Not a mini golf course, but I'll rate it anyway. 😎 😎 😎 for the concept, 🍟 🍟 🍟 🍟 for execution. 😂

Oh Brooks. This reminds me. The other day at Target I saw something that might pique your interest. It was called a mini-golf billiards course. What it is is a giant pool table you set up on the floor, and instead of billiard balls and cue sticks, you play with colored golf balls and a putter.
Just thought that might make a good indoor apartment video should the lockdown officially return.

this reminds me of my game, field pong, it like the video game but played outsidewith a soccer ball and croquet mallets(don't ask)and also u lost already when u scratched ur first try at the 8 ball so Elisha won before her turn, so gets some nachos cus this was... well u know.
Actually, in 8-Ball, sinking a ball on a break doesn't mean you're the ball you sank. It just means you get to go again. Whether you're solids or stripes is still open.
I honestly never really knew the full rules of pool. I just play how I was told over time

it was just a fun game to play with warping pretty much every rule in pool that you could warp.

Their is a version of Pool with minigolf.
The 90ª angles physics still apply here as they would with normal Pool, and miniature golf! Learn your angles and you can do better here
All in good fun but this was one of the saddest things I've seen in sports in a long time. Glad you two had fun . Elisha looked like she really enjoyed herself n that is what its all about.

Hi Brooks,
We may have to just take the scoring of this game with a pinch of salt. Your second shot hit the purple ball before the white, and then at 2:07, you made contact with the orange first. Meanwhile, Elisha adjusted the cue ball to get her foot in. Yeah, I don't think this is a game anyone is going to be rules-nazi about. It's just too random, and looks like super good fun. 4:09 - Hilarity ensues.
if you are a pool player you would notice that there is a foul on 93% of the shots that they both made.

@@BrooksHolt don't worry, others are wrong. You have to pocket the 8 ball then scratch to lose the game. Just scratching and not pocketing the 8 ball doesn't make you lose. So you guys actually played it right.

Ok 8 ball rules there are supposed to be dots on both ends of the table rack of balls on one dot and 8 ball can be placed anywhere behind the other hitting one ball into another is called a combination shot and u have to call it u can't hit the eponents

Elisha did win, however, I was wrong about the scratch. You would have to pocket the eight ball and scratch in the same shot. This did look like a lot of fun, though

As a viewer of BHV for a long time, I have no problem with your tally. I guess if I really wanted to I could remember the scores from the previous video, look at the current one and work out who won before I saw it, but, really? I don't even read the comments until I've finished the video - I'm too busy watching it and making my own; and the same could be true of anyone. If people read comments before the event, they can expect spoilers. Conversely, it's good to have a running total; although I don't think we'll see mawmaw again, in all honesty. She was a one-off wonder.

You literally just read the rule , if you scatch on the 8, its game over
this looks fun but the pockets are way too small for the size of the ball. next time you're shooting pool, holding two balls in your hand slide them into the pocket at the same time. you can't do this here. and the ball size compared to the table size is completely too small of a table.
