OK... am I the only person who feels like having autocorrect/spell-check from a young age means that... they can't spell!? Every video with a certain amount of text in it has a spelling mistake although the best moment was misspelling the word 'genius' in a thumbnail. I'm not sure what's worse, misspelling it, or the fact that hardly anyone noticed? ~ Nathan

As a Ni user, high Ne user’s lack of organization of their ideas and tendency to “bounce around” drives me nuts, but I always admire how they surprise me with something I’d never thought about before, or how they connect ideas in brand new ways. I find we work really well together in the sense that they will generate a lot of interesting seeds and works, and then I organize them into something cohesive and polished that they can present to others as complete. Great synergy, there.

The fact that we don't necessarily make things from scratch is a very interesting one to keep in mind when analyzing Ne. Personally, I do think I'm good at coming up with ideas, but I usually need a topic. For example, if I'm told to pick myself any topic on which I will write a paper, I feel like crying. On the other hand, if I'm given a topic, even if it's kind of broad, then I can actually think of many different ways I could go about it. Same goes for conversations, projects, problem-solving, and so on. (I'm ENFP btw)

Very relatable !! I think that part of it is also due to the fact that asking us to come up with something completely new just gives us a sort of paralysis because we see so much potential in everything and so we don't even know where to start, it could be anything and we don't want to limit ourselves, but when given a hint or a point you can start off, it just naturally flows!

@@DrDeathpwnsu There once lived a duck named Jared. He came from a very respectable family of ducks, all well versed in the ways of swimming and all the duck manners in general. He himself was always very dedicated to his studies, but it wasn't long until his family realized what would be their greatest disappointment: Jared could not swim.
It made no sense. All ducks were perfectly able to swim, and Jared's family was known for being especially good at it. Unable to watch the disappointed looks a minute more, Jared then fled away from his family lake.
He flew for a few days before finally arriving at a farm, where he met a few humble, yet hard-working, family of chickens. After hearing Jared's story, the chickens' hearts broke for him, and they decided to take him in, offering him a place to stay for as long as he needed it.
After living with the chicken for a while Jared found out that most of the chicken were, just like him, terrible swimmers. And yet none of them seemed to think that was a problem. Swimming was not a social obligation, as it was in the lake where Jared was born. He coudn't believe it. He had found his people.
Jared wanted so much to stay, but he was worried that the farm owners wouldn't let him stay for long. He coudn't lay eggs, like the female chicken, and coudn't sing loud enough to wake the farm up in the morning, like the males. He was getting ready to live once again, when he heard that the farm's guard dog had died a few weeks earlier, and all of the animals had been worried for their safety.
"That's it!", Jared thought, "That's the job opening I needed! I'm going to be the new guard dog." And that's what he did. Whenever a stranger approached the farm's main house, he'd agressively quack at them running towards them, beaking in the air. At first, the family owners were worried about the guests scared aways by the newcomer duck, but they did find it quite endearing, so they let him be.
There were a few times, though, when Jared did protect the farm from harm. He actually managed to scare away thieves at night, quacking at them like he's do to anyone else. And he also helped the family to get rid of undesired (red annoyng) guests.
Jared was still unable to swimm, and maybe he wasn't the best ar recognizing real treaths, but it didn't matter. For the first time in his life, he was love and accepted. For the first time, he felt like he belonged.

Low Ne users like the Isfp's and Istp's are like dual core processors (2 cores), so theyre very good (if not perfect) and focused 100% on 1-2 things. Whereas High Ne users are core i7's (4 cores with hyperthreading) so they have no choice but to ideate and to look at multiple options..which makes them more interesting imo.

    - Ne dom creativity is very out of the box, sometimes so much not every gets it (it can seem random, like random music that ignores music theory)

But with that we can also overthink and extrapolate too much by assuming there is missing information or more digging to do when there isn't. We can also confirm our own biases with our creativity and subjective past experiences. While we are good, some situations an Ni/Se user may see the obvious more general situation at hand sooner because we were already too focused on predicting more immediate futures e.g. predicting what someone will say or do, where a situation may lead. Ni/Se users tend to predict things more generally but seem to do so with less known information if that makes sense. Idk something ive gathered from the two ENFJs in my family. 😂

I always think of my mind as an ocean that contains "everything", and stuff will "surface". This idea of *containing every possibility* is as powerfully comforting and reassuring as religion, and also a source of self-efficacy.
I don't think of it as random so much as trust it's relevant. You know you contain anything you'll need, (though always finding it at the right time is another matter, but you can usuallyfind *something* that will help). So I think there comes with ENTPs and ENFPs a certain confidence about their ability to deal with "whatever comes up" at least mentally (whether justified or not...in youth this might be more overconfidence).
Sometimes instead I think of my mind as the universe and I'm traveling through it looking for stuff. Kinda romantic spins on your wardrobe. But whether wardrobe, ocean or universe,
the essential idea is *it contains every possibly*. That makes me feel hella safe.
My INTP ex once described her mind as an onion, she said you can just keep pulling the layers back and then in the middle there's... bloop, nothing. I find this horrifying as I assumed everyone had an ocean full of everything.
My ISTJ husband describes his mind as a very organized warehouse full of labeled boxes, generally you only look in one at a time (reflecting his instinct to compartmentalize). He said there are boxes "you just don't open".
In terms of creative, I always like to be creating or designing something whether abstract, concrete, adaptive or wholly original. It could be a design for a curriculum or ritual, or painting a watercolor, writing stories or songs, collage, crafting jewelry or candles or essays. It's the creative process. I need to create to be my best self. 2nd best is organizing/redesigning my environment.

@1:22 I am really bad for this. 'vowels are AEIOU and sometimes Y'.
Sibce we've added cwm and cwtch to English - 'w' is also a vowel. Also, letters themselves are not vowels, they are letters that usually represent vowels. 'u' is sometimes representing a more consontental sound. Compare 'cow' and 'house'. 'u' and 'w' represent the same sound here, so either u is a consonant or w is a vowel. (its actualy a moretechnical term I don't know - but in any case its not a vowel.). We often see the same sound representing by 'ao', but that's usually on words we import from Italian. 'ciao' and the romanized name of the Chinese general 'Cao Cao' come to mind.
Vowels are sounds, not letter, and the oversimplified 'these letters are vowels is wrong'.
