Hello Rock People! This is Dave the Geology Dude! There is more to this video than just a spinning wall of bedrock. There are notes in the description area for this video. If you want more, longer length rock identification videos are on my CZcams homepage. Check them out, or leave a comment here! Note that I plan to make a longer version of this video in the near future (which will include narration and various rock samples from the Frenchman Coulee area).
very interesting fact. if i didint joined the challenge i may not encounter this kind of learnings about rocks godbless..
Thanks for the comment! I’m hoping to have a longer video on Frenchman Coulee in the future, but longer videos require a lot of time to make!
What a nice surprise this morning. I have to say that this 1/2 mile+ spin is quite impressive. Flood basalt never ceases to amaze me. Thank you for putting this little guy out Dave.Great work!
I was surprised too! I often try things in photogrammetry that I know will NOT work (but I want to try to learn more about the limits of the software). I was so confident that this “spin” would fail-but it was successful! I was dumbfounded! But also excited that it actually worked! This may give insight at how to do other super large-scale spins. Thanks much for your comment!
