As a developer, I see a much easier and faster method that should be available already. I'll look into this more and let you know.

Thanks for this! I’m one of those “dictators,” LOL.
To fix my dictation, I type, “edit this text, fixing only typos.” Simple and affective.

Genuinely, your content is so useful. I'm glad your channel is growing. When you get really big, I hope you remember that what works is giving us things that save you time that probably took you a long time to learn. That is so valuable. And we are so grateful. :)

Which headset are you using? I haven't found any wireless one yet works well enough but hate being tied to my pc

AI has been an amazing sidekick for me as an author. I'm constantly finding new ways that it can make me write faster, better, and cost me less money. Other than those people that flood the market with terrible, inaccurate, 100% AI generated books, I don't really understand all of the fear surrounding AI in writing.

love those dictation videos of yours. BTW I found a prompt on Reddit that can be used to clean up dictated text, too:
Please retype this transcription, fixing the periods and making sentence and paragraph breaks where they seem to go. Most of this is the narration of a novel. But in some instances there is dialogue, usually indicated by the word "said" or "replied." In those cases, please add quotation marks to indicate dialogue. If there are any missing words or phrases (this is a poorly transcribed recording), please add the most likely word or phrase.
Out of curiosity, have you tried throwing maybe 1k or 2k words in one go to Haiku through OpenRouter (after making the context window bigger)?

This is amazing. I've been using Dragon for awhile now and the dictation clean up has always been a pain. One thing, though, is í do prefer to record and then have Dragon transcribe from the wav file. I prefer this because 1. I don't like dictating at my desk, and I do a lot of dictation while walking my dog, so being able to pause is nice. 2. I like having the wav file as yet another backup method.

If you don't want to dictate punctuation, you can just use Google Docs or the voice app on your phone.
Also, dictating the text has no bearing on whether or not you have. "full legal rights" to your output.
What matters is that you rewrote the AI output in some form more fashion to make it substantially different.
It doesn't matter if you dictated the rewrite , or if you rewrote it with a keyboard.

I like the accuracy of whisper. The punctuations are a bit off, but nothing that GPT4 or Claude can't clean up quickly. Obsidian has a whisper plugin where I just feed my api key, and it creates an audio file as well as a note with the transcription (the transcription takes a few moments depending on how long I spoke). So convenient to have it on my phone at any moment. There's a small fee like you said for each minute of transcription, but $5 lasted me for like 2 months. I find it much better than alternatives such as otter ai or google voice to text. Haven't tried out dragon.

I got Dragon 15 because my wrist hurt, but after a while my throat hurt instead. Dragon is definitely my recommendation for those who can afford it. It accepted my Scandinavian accent right out of the box, and has useful features like "spoken form" for words or names that are hard to pronounce.

    Hey!
Great video! Have you considered using Autogen Studio to streamline your workflow? It might make the process of working with different AI and LLM models more efficient and could potentially enhance the quality of the output.
Just a suggestion that might add to your already impressive setup. Keep up the fantastic work!

There are several ways to do STT and TTS wih AI. The 'Chris Cappetta' channel has several STT and TTS conversations with Claude 3 as well as how he set up the simple way he created the ability to have voice conversations with the AI. The 'nerdy rodent' channel also has several how to videos for setting up STT / TTS with AI models for things like AI 'role playing' in things like Silly Tavern, etc.

I'd love to see a guide on how to build a comic book series. I have struggled to get this project off the ground.

Excellent insight, thank you Jason. Can you suggest an ai that will auto format punctuation correctly, I'm thinking especially of speech marks & capitalisation?

From what I can tell Gemini Pro can interpret video files. I wonder how if you can also use it on audio files using a similar work flow

Many thanks, I’d been wondering whether there was a simple way to use AI to fix typos. I also get the computer to read back the final text. A lot of horrors stand out.
