I agree that both parties have their faults but watching the "ear covering video" again Senator-Judge Santiago herself is trying to be nice to the prosecution panel in airing her concerns in order to correct the mistake before it happens. I do believe that Senator-Judge Santiago would not berate the prosecution panel if they're doing things correctly. Sadly enough, when Atty. Aguirre explained his view, he acted like he was "astig" and if he was more knowledgeable than any of the lawyers.

@jackbaguio Unfortunately, that's not how it works in a court, much less Impeachment Court. You really cannot ARGUE nor ADMONISH a judge. There are proper ways to file for a complaint (or motion for a judge to inhibit) if one lawyer thinks a judge is impartial, corrupt, disrespectful, etc, and not by covering one's ears. It's like teacher-student relationship. Only a teacher can admonish you, not the other way around. If you think the teacher is wrong, go to a principal and file a complaint.

At masesermonan ka talaga lalo dahil sa asal mo bilang abogado. Imagine, gawin yan ng isang attorney sa harap ng judge, yang pag takip ng tenga habang on-going ang proceedings.

Technically, Aguirre was wrong. For me its nice to have these kinds of senators (Miriam) so to challenge citizens who aspire to work on an environment like this. Playing while still abiding the rules of the court is the key here. People who take Miriam's words personally are weak in this kind of environment.

It's really an insult if as a lawyer you will be lectured by a judge. It only shows your incompetency and what Prosecutor Aguirre did was a protest or a defense mechanism to avoid being in the same shoes as his colleagues who went before him. In any case, a judge has the right to lecture any lawyer in his/her own courtroom and not vice versa.
She’s lecturing them because they’re incompetent. That’s all there is to it.
Aguirre definitely does not deserve the title of Attorney. When your ego is trying to compensate for your absolute lack of competence and knowledge, you resort to immature gestures. It is fully apparent that all your years of practice are worth nothing compared to Senator Santiago's vast intellect.
