Pictured here is MTA # 1271. This bus was unique because it had a Luminator MAX headsign and also had an RTS 08 style drivers compartment...even though its an 06
No problem guys. These buses are long gone. Without these soundclips, nobody would know what they sounded like.
I think. If I am not mistaken. These Buses was the Last ones purchased under the SCRTD. Before the considation into the LACMTA. Which should make these buses more unique and special. The next series of buses that came. Was the Neoplan CNG First Genaration Buses. Was the first batch under the LACMTA.
I am trying to get a video ride in one of these ex-LACMTA RTS here in North County San Diego. They have at least 5 Transit System RTS's. All but one have the Series 50, but one, ONE has the 6V92TA. I am riding up there almost everyday now, trying to catch it, video it, and post it. I am still trying to ride my first 6V92TA. I finally did get to ride my first RTS today 4/2/13. Will be uploading in a day or two.
Route 115 the Manchester Ave bus route 204 Vermont route 207 Western Ave
This is Ex LACMTA Metro Bus #1248 to Transit Systems #1173.

I agree, Me too!!!
I think this bus was used on route 94 and 394 before in Burbank ca.
Wow it's a shame that l.c..m.t.a took these buses away they should've retrofitted them for biodiesel u kno management do'nt think about the possibilities or preserving a classic like former ethanol tmc buses went back to diesel, the tmc's like this had a lot of pick up & go instead of spending millions of dollars on cng's l.c.m.t.a just should've retrofit these timeless classics instead of letting them sit up in a boneyard to collect dust
That's a good point. But you know how LA is, they are always concerned with new trends which extends to the public transit sector.
😂
Yeaaah. No
