    Continuing my WARNO League run, this time against AWoodenBox! He's someone who I am familiar playing against so I was hopeful to win some games in Division 1. This turned out to be one of the best 1v1 games I've played!

    I think those Metis units were underperforming just because they were taking so much fire. I don't think you want Metis infantry to lead charges on foot like that, they're there to protect flanks and zone out enemy transports, it's too easy for them to get stunned and lose missiles in flight if they're engaging many units at once.
    With Berliner Gruppierung what you get to push with across those kinds of ranges are the cheap options they get in the tank tab, T-34s or T-55As, and Mot-Schutzen in BMP-1s - their weapons are weak, short-ranged, have bad accuracy, etc. but they're cheap enough to bring in in large numbers and they can cost-effectively overwhelm stuff like Warriors.

    A great watch and nicely commentated. The whole game felt so well thought through until the end. Force preservation was on point, you always had air cover where it counted and were trading rewlly favourably.
    I think it would be really revealing if Eugen put a live kill value score for each player in the replay HUD.
    It felt like you could have played rhe middle a bit more to flank the city on thr left. The slow push you made on the right actually opened up a lot of space in the middle rhat didnt get used.
    Also i felt that the first Burratino strike was pivitol and would have been better spent hitting the town.
    Either way, great game and hope to see more!

    Don't get discouraged from losing these games! There is no shame in losing hard when you move up a div. About three years ago I led a team that won division 2 in another game(tf2).
    We were moved up to D1 for the next season and got completely crushed. The shock from that led to the disbanding of the team. Now since you are playing a solo gamemode you have complete control in how you manage your expectations.
    From listening to your commentary I think you're doing a good job with that already. So keep that learning/nothing to lose mentality stable and you'll have a good time while also improving your game.

      I mean if you get absolutely crushed when moving up a div I'm not surprised the team would just disband. It isn't fun getting utterly pummelled!

    • @Dwapking

      @@Sipsy301 To win you must first learn, right? Only by adapting the mindset that you are playing to learn can you start winning after. A loss will teach you a thousand times more than a win, if you don't let your ego get in the way.

    • @xJamesLaughx
      @xJamesLaughx Před 8 měsíci +4

      @@Sipsy301 Getting pummeled is always a chance with any kind of competition, you will ALWAYS have someone or teams who are way better than you are who will crush you when you face them.
      A real team will take that crushing, learn from it, and work at doing better the next time they face those people. They do not run with their tails tucked between their legs and disband after a defeat. If that is what they did they should have NEVER been playing together in the first place then.
      This whole situation the OP described sounds a whole hell of a lot like an ego problem with the team. Their ego's told them they were better than they were and when faced with better players they got creamed and had their little egos bruised and could not handle it so ran and disbanded instead of learning from it and getting better.

      I don't expect I'll play in Division 1 next season. I really don't practise 1v1 at all prior to the league and don't intend or have the time to.
      That being said it has been fun to test my mettle against some of the top players in the game and it has brought some entertaining games!

    I still would rather you narrate as you play instead of after, you say it's more difficult, but that's what makes it better in my opinion. Watching someone easily do something isn't that fun, to me anyway. I'd rather see you sweat while playing, makes it more relatable. I don't even play any of the games that you make videos for, but I watch them because I have more fun watching you do good and fail or not fail during a match, rather than watch myself fail at a match with no narration. ...if I were to play the game, that is.

      @americanaccolon1319 Před 8 měsíci +8

      Naw I don’t want to see him make stupid mistakes cause he’s trying to comment while playing I’d rather see a good match with voice over

    • @TheGreyLineMatters
      @TheGreyLineMatters Před 8 měsíci

      @@americanaccolon1319 That's not what I said, but okay. I said either or, failing or not failing. There's nowhere to hide when you're in the situation, but you can change the narrative when you review said process after the fact. For instance, I found it way more compelling to watch when I saw the Meddi vs Vulcan fight because the narrator wasn't playing, and I get that goes against my original point but as the narrator couldn't have been in the game it doesn't matter how he narrates it, but during the game I could imagine Vulcan speaking as the game went on. I could imagine him pointing out his mistakes as he made them, instead of accidentally not seeing them while paying attention to another part of the map during an after game narration. When he's playing the game, you don't miss important parts and have to be explained why it was missed or not. I just mean, he spent most of this particular video explaining how or why something wasn't seen. While playing, you get to see it as it happens, not as it happened.
