The van Veen Leung match showed again why Darts is a completely Mental game. Van Veen was completely broken in the fifths Set and Leung played absolutely phenomenal
He didn’t know how he could lead 2-0 😅

his throwing technique is so good it makes you wonder how he could miss so many doubles at the beginning. fair play to him of getting rid of the pressure in the second part of the match

Fair play to Man Lok Leung, a big scorer, if can improve his doubles, genuinely a threat to Clemens or anyone in general, despite him being consistent usually. I hope he considers a tour card as played absolutely class. Gian Van Veen had no answer really those last 2 sets.

Leung’s throw is one of the best you’ll see anywhere. Not a lot can go wrong with that beautiful release.

He's still young. After he gets many more hours in he will be more confident and probably a threat to the top players considering how his career is going right now
these guys are debutants on the Biggest stage in darts ....some can handle that pressure & Van Veen couldn't . Its that simple
Young lad with lots of pressure on him, with a crowd that was getting on top of him. Not every great young player goes deep in their first worlds, Rock and Humphries are the exceptions, not the rule. Leung was phenomenal mind. 102 average in that 5th set for a player making his debut is absurd.

If leung can play like that again in his next match then I think he could be a dark horse in the tournament, also it looked like he was really enjoying his match.
Man Like Leung... thoroughly deserved to win and should've won it sooner.. his seasonal average was a worry when looking at the stats but hope to see him raise his game again.. 180 machine 🔥
Man Lok Leung had some serious swagger in that match. Confidence is key. Act like you deserve to be there.
I found him to be a bit arrogant to be honest but he's a good player so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt😘

Man Lok Leung, who initially failed to qualify by losing a tiebreaker match for 4th place in Asian Tour OOM and got his chance only after the Asian Championship winner was Japanese, eliminated rising star Gian van Veen, who is a World Youth Championship runner-up and this years' Development tour winner.
Tough luck Gian, it's the pressure of Ally Pally man. Hope Leung has a decent run though, he's got a smooth throw

Really loved watching Leung play. And Van Veen kinda deserved to be beaten. As a German I hope Leung beats Clemens, too, as I want to see more of him. Legend!

Van Veen war eigentlich echt schlecht, er profitierte in Set 2 nur von Leung's vielen Fehlern.

It's quicker, more solid, better rhythm and his arm is straighter with a better follow through.

He didn't bottle. Leung was just too good. Even in the first two sets Leung was better. But only from the third set on, he started hitting doubles
