I see a pattern now. ESPN pretty much makes the decision on whether to retain you or not well before negotiation time. They don't even tell you. The negotiation process is just an act. If ESPN decides they don't want you, management (or the fellow cast mates) will start messing with you days before your contract expires (or during "negotiations") to get you to tap out, quit, react negatively, or to get your bad side shown in public so ESPN can say, "See! See, this is why we didn't want him." ESPN intended to give RC an offer he would absolutely refuse (they proposed a new contract with a much lesser amount). There never really was going to be a negotiation but ESPN doesn't want the negative publicity of another analyst being fired or laid off. Former owner of the WWE, Vince McMahon, does the exact same tactics with wrestlers that he does not want retained (most famous example was Bret Hart years ago). I wonder if this is becoming a thing with companies that really just don't care about their people. Or maybe this is just an entertainment industry thing. In any case, if ESPN REALLY intended to retain RC and have a serious negotiation, they would have treated him far much better. Best of luck to RC. He's a really good analyst.

They’ll use a black journalist, man or woman, but usually a woman, to take shots at a black athlete. A white reporter isn’t used in order to avoid appearing racist.
Nah we not gonna do this. The reason that RC isn’t on ESPN is because he was trying to do this negotiation himself. If you listen to his comments on the Pivot RC makes it very clear that he has taken this whole situation personally. But it’s business, this is why you hire a middle man (agent) to negotiate on your behalf. They are actively trying to pay you “less” and they are listing reasons about why they feel like they shouldn’t have to pay you what you want. It’s almost impossible for someone to not take that personally if you’re sitting in the room listening to it. It changes the way you look at the people in the negotiations.
That’s a terrible move by ESPN he covered college and NFL Football a bit of NBA and UFC and he was one of the few knowledgeable analysts ESPN had on their roster smh
You know what's so funny Ryan Clark went through this in football. I'm a dolphins fan I remember he came on a visit to Miami when he was a free agent I don't know what happened behind the scenes, but I know he felt very disrespected when he left. The funny thing Clark seem like one of them good solid dudes why the good get done so. I'm really starting to think it's supposed to be this way for whatever reason maybe it's something we're not seeing in God's plans because it's fact the good get done the worst on this app or so it seems.
RC is too educated, too authentic, too fearless & too articulate in conveying his views in a way that resonates with the masses... ie. too big of a threat to their propaganda machine
It is crazy. 2 days before he left espn, i told my mother he's a good talent and he'll be with espn for a long time. I hate this happened to him. I'm in tv/film and contract work that pays good money is brutal day to day. It's a pins and needles gig for many.
Now it make sense on how he was takin subliminal diss a Kimberly Martin about Cam Newton opinion and about the Dallas Cowboys segments on First Take . It a reason to keep the shown running wouldn't be nothing without the Dallas Cowboys segments
Ryan is one of the best and most prepared analysis on ESPN. It's their loss as well as ours. Good luck Ryan, there's a spot for you on any team if you so desire. Stay strong 💪🏾 I'll be looking for you to pop up soon.
I will NEVER forget how graciously Ryan Clark handled the Demar Hamlin injury on live TV. ESPN dropped the ball as Ryan Clark is as good as it gets in his industry. Idk what Ryan Clark was asking for but I know for certain Ryan Clark will be just fine. ESPN will regret not being able to come to terms with RC.
I have the greatest respect for RC & believe he deserves to be paid for his great insight & knowledge. ESPN is just stupid for letting him go. I wish him the very best.
WOW, Ryan is intelligent and full of himself. ESPN wants younger people because soon SAS, Molly Mad Dog they will all be moving on. Robert Griffin III deserves the spot.
Huh … they do this with Scott Van Pelt they’ve done this with Stuart Scott and it doesn’t mean they don’t value him … it could mean they have the confidence in him to handle it and hold his own BY HIMSELF! he dropped the ball on this one bc he had control of the panel

It’s almost impossible for someone to not take that personally if you’re sitting in the room listening to it. It changes the way you look at the people in the negotiations.
Excellent points.💯👍🏾
Ryan Clark needs to get with Deion Sanders 🎯
2 race baiters that pander to the white corporate powers and the black community....they play both sides
ESPN IS A PLANTATION!
Ryan was the REALEST of their entire staff.
That’s a terrible move by ESPN he covered college and NFL Football a bit of NBA and UFC and he was one of the few knowledgeable analysts ESPN had on their roster smh
They should pay him..He one of the most credible people and can provide a real take on most all topics football..
Ryan Clark proved to me that he was when he was the BEST spokespson when Hamlin went down. Love Ryan Clark. JJobe
I love to hear RC speak he is so passionate in his commentary I wish him nothing but the best
Cant believe Ryan was complaining about being in the studio by himself. SVP goes thru that everyday 😭
ESPN has thee MOST irrelevant stats EVER!
Other hosts that regularly featured Ryan Clark have to speak up! ESPN has to be called out … again and again. RC is great.
RC is too educated, too authentic, too fearless & too articulate in conveying his views in a way that resonates with the masses... ie. too big of a threat to their propaganda machine
Ryan Clark is the best sports analyst, as people use his face on CZcams even when he’s not commenting to get you to view it he’s the best analyst.
How do you feel about Ryan Clark’s departure from ESPN? Should he stay, go with fox sports, or go independent??? Comment down below
My guy I love this
😂😂😂😂😂
Hell yeah call out the bs
Salute
It is crazy. 2 days before he left espn, i told my mother he's a good talent and he'll be with espn for a long time. I hate this happened to him. I'm in tv/film and contract work that pays good money is brutal day to day. It's a pins and needles gig for many.
ESPN been done for years they’re trash.
I stopped watching ESPN a long time ago. There are too many channels that specialize in what particular sports a person may like.
Pat McAfee? Pat doesnt work for ESPN. ESPN WORKS for Pat. WINNING
Now it make sense on how he was takin subliminal diss a Kimberly Martin about Cam Newton opinion and about the Dallas Cowboys segments on First Take . It a reason to keep the shown running wouldn't be nothing without the Dallas Cowboys segments
THESE GUYS ALREADY RICH GO AND BUILD SOMETHING
Ryan is one of the best and most prepared analysis on ESPN. It's their loss as well as ours. Good luck Ryan, there's a spot for you on any team if you so desire. Stay strong 💪🏾 I'll be looking for you to pop up soon.
I’ve always enjoyed Ryan Clark more than anyone on NFL live. He should go to Fox
Ryan Clark is GREAT. Watch him everywhere ge goes
Nobody notice how she was so quick to tell him if you don't wanna be here then.....
She’s next.
Ryan Clark is an amazing analyst..
He shouldn’t have said anything about that lady that talk down on Cam Newton 😂
WOW, Ryan is intelligent and full of himself. ESPN wants younger people because soon SAS, Molly Mad Dog they will all be moving on. Robert Griffin III deserves the spot.
"I hate it here..."😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Well, he saw the writting on the wall. Ryan Clark said he wants to get paid his worth. I think he'll bounce back even stronger.
What does he contribute to the ESPN experience though? I’m not a hater but let’s be honest. I’m not watching ESPN to hear what he has to say.
Lol im sure espn flew him all the way just to do one show in an empty studio. 😂
Ryan Clark thought he was stephen a. Smith after just a couple years and got humbled😂😂😂😂😂
RC, you should have dominated the scene! Show the world that you can turn on a dime!!!
ESPN is trash now. Far cry from what it once was.
He was showing a lot of love to the Texans 💯 instead of sucking off the chiefs and Aaron Rodgers that they are trying to push
Huh … they do this with Scott Van Pelt they’ve done this with Stuart Scott and it doesn’t mean they don’t value him … it could mean they have the confidence in him to handle it and hold his own BY HIMSELF!
he dropped the ball on this one bc he had control of the panel
Bingo
If he goes to fox sports ESPN would have dropped the ball majorly I know who pat McAfee is I like him but I don't know him from ESPN I think not bringing rc back would be a mistake
