Just for fun, you could have a ‘Hat snd Shoe’ dress code; where the upscale and gentrified Marine would need to have not just ANY dress oxfords, but the original oxblood or maroon cordovan leather dress oxfords - AND, for headgear, perhaps a campaign hat might set the tone for the evening’s festivities.

Canada Day is July 1st just like America Day is July 4th. "it celebrates the anniversary of Canadian Confederation which occurred on July 1, 1867". We Canadians know everything about the US because we shop there. Another fun fact, we don't celebrate Thanksgiving the same day it is celebrated in the US of A.
