  • What's it really like for a team of talented but inexperienced pros to take part in a huge multi-day race like the Tour de Yorkshire?
Our video team went behind the scenes with Tom Pidcock, Gabriel Cullaigh and DS Simon Cope to follow every moment of the race, from the pre-start briefing to the team car, from brutal racing to moments of quiet reflection.
Look out for more episodes this year as we continue to show what life is really like for young riders on the journey to become top professionals.

Great behind the scenes video! Thank you.
We could do without the Hitchcockian music, though... :-)

I ride a fucking Aksium with 25 width tires. I weigh 101kg. I have not been able to finish rides lately without breaking a spoke or getting them loose, 20 spokes front and rear.
I am thinking of getting alluminium DT-SWISS rims, spokes for $250 or mon chaseral 28mm depth carbon wheels for $750 or it's 38 rim depth version weighing 1490g for $750 as well? Both have 350 star rachet hubs and 24spokes front and back..
Please, help. Do I really need to spend that much on something I only get to ride 3 months a year, or should I just settle for a much cheaper alluminium wheel? Are there any significant gains going carbon? even though it's not really full carbon, it's just the rims, the spokes and hubs are still non-carbon.

Stay aluminium. Loose some weight if possible.
