Commentators were basically hoping Nunn to the end 😭😂

Nunn miss dam near every punch but somehow they had him winning the first nine rounds
its clear the comentators were on nunns favour cos whenever toney landed silence but whenever nunn did something they compliment him
they were so biased...against toney.... neither had ever fought anyone
Toney was huge underdog in this fight too, and was fighting in Nunn's backyard.

Went all the way to Cruiserweight with that defense. Barely ever trained too, would just spar endlessly in the lead up to fights.

The Middleweights from 1988 to 1994 were the greatest era of Middleweights ever assembled: Toney, McClellan, Nunn, Jones Jr., Jackson, Benn, McCallum, Eubank, Hopkins, Watson and Collins.
It's a shame Hagler wasn't around then.
Toneys chin carried him through. One of the best chins in history. Nunn was winning the fight after 7 rounds, but Toney started tapping that chin, and Nunn eventually wilted. Great fight and fighters!
When you get a boxer that can KO with either hand, most likely will have success in boxing. This is one skill that Toney had. But it also helped that he was relentless throwing those punches non stop.
This was it! This put Toney, Jackie Kallen and Galaxy Boxing on the map.
They thought James was going to lose this one, they just didn’t know about lights out!!

@@Ze_Moose No one knew who Toney was at this time and Nunn was on P4P lists. I think he got up to as high as 2-3 by Ring Magazine.
@@Ze_Moose nunn had an amateur record of 168-8 and was a highly touted prospect who became the ibf champ and had made several defenses, he was 36-0 with like 23 kos and toney was not a champion he was just a contender back then and much less known
