American Highway Whiskey with Brad Paisley - Bourbon Connections Series

Country superstar Brad Paisley knows what it takes to have a hit in music … and now he’s a hit-maker in the bourbon industry. Back in 2019, Brad had a unique idea to load a semi-truck full of barrels of bourbon and have the truck follow his tour bus from coast to coast, aging the bourbon in what he called ‘the rolling rick house.’
To accomplish his dream, Brad hooked up with Jeff Hopmayer, CEO & Chairman of the Brindiamo Group, one of the largest bulk bourbon and whiskey suppliers in the world, to partner with him on the project. Hopmayer brought in Bardstown Bourbon Company, an acclaimed custom bourbon distiller located in Bardstown, Kentucky, as a collaborative distilling partner and the resulting product, “American Highway Reserve Bourbon” was an immediate hit when it was released in 2021. Hopmayer says the swishing of the bourbon inside the barrels as the semi traveled across the country, through a variety of temperatures, impacted the flavor profile of the bourbon in a fantastic way.
Paisley wanted to lend more than just his name to the bourbon; he was personally involved in each step of the process and every aspect of production. So, how do you follow a hit like “American Highway Reserve?” If you’re Brad Paisley, you launch “American Reserve Route 2,” the second release of the premium bourbon.
“Bourbon is like a song: the more life it has lived on its journey, the deeper
the story, the richer it becomes,” said Paisley. “This second batch has seen
more miles. I think you will be surprised at the unique character a different journey created.”
