Is everything lost? Is WW2 lost? Is this HOI4 Multiplayer game lost?
Often you guys are used to Dankus stomping and winning hard as Germany in HOI4 MP, but today you are gonna get a different taste, you are gonna get a Germany disaster on par with the real WW2 Germany.
BUT this comeback will win them WW2, well at least in Hearts of Iron 4.

Players having clumps of divisions with massive gaps between them just trying to outflank and pursue each other in their massive countrysides is like pre ww1 warfare where there’s no solid frontline
in modern warfare there is no solid frontline lol? look in ukraine. there is no frontline like ww1 but rather defended key towns or villages

@@bradley4581 that’s kind of misunderstanding what “frontline” means. In ww2 and other conflicts the front line was composed of a series of tightly knit towns and villages. You don’t have to build w French line, if you hold 2 villages close together you have area denial in the surrounding area, and thus have an effective front line that cannot be crossed without opposition.

Raeder vs Doenitz, use steel to built pocket battleships and get sunk by the allied navies or focus on uboats and maybe have a chance. Thankfully H man had was into the dick measuring contest of making battleships and trying to compete as a surface fleet against the Brits

@@Zorro9129 thankfully bc it screwed the axis over, sort of. pocket bb weren't horrible because they could sink the british dd that were being used to counter german subs. meanwhile the british air and heavy ships that could threaten pockets couldn't really handle subs and were obviously more limited in where they could cover. so basically by keeping the british guessing the germans had a slight advantage. but subs were the only thing that really sank more than they cost to make, all the pocket bb ended as arguably bad trades

I have no clue how you held the east while bringing back a billion tanks to save Europe, but great game! Hungary did massive things here, but also German micro was top notch from all three player.
Hungary player was a massive chad holding the east.
If I was Lennard in this game I would have just scuttled the navy after Dankus deleted those dockyards.

In MP the best strat for dealing with D-Day always seems to be to let them invade and thin their lines you can encircle them.
Well, the issue is always not to get encircled while retreating. If you can just pull out and retreat, and peel tanks from barb without getting your ass kicked in, that can work, but usually you get massive overrun all over the place, so your line gets thinner than the Allies.
@12gark Yeah that's also a part of it, seen a lot of Dankus Germany games and MP games in general were germany gets encircled trying to stop d-day, doesn't seem to be worth holding unless you can stop it early. Sort of what happened to Germany IRL.
@@itriedtochangemynamebutitd5019 the issue is that there is not a good way to have a d day wall and retreat quickly to the Rhine other than just be very good at micro.

what do you think about the mecanic to build briges on rivers? it would increase your speed and attack over rivers. Both sides could use it if they attack
There's literally already a general ability that does this. It's called makeshift bridges.
Edit: Fyi, your general needs Improvisation Expert to use this which can be unlocked if they have Trickster and at least 1 terrain trait.

@@dwightd.eisenhower2031 Maybe but he may not have realised that what he wanted is already in the game. Having two ways to make bridges that have the same effect (makeshift bridges and ones you construct with civs) would just be confusing and unnecessary.
provinces are big, nearly every river tile pair has a bridge already

It's painful to see someone delete dockyards. I get ships eat up resources but it's still never a good idea to shaft navy like that.

So you basically have all your minors do inf and you do tanks? I can get 86 of the same tanks by barb with 160 inf divs on top and complete green air.
