    Thank you so much for continuing to post videos. I am a first time mom to a 4 month of beautiful baby girl. I thought I was the only one whose baby remains latched on through the night. i'm hoping its a phase because yes it not the most restful sleep. Big big kudos to you for doing all this with 2 little ones. some days must feel impossible but i appreciate your honesty in the videos and all the support you give. keep posting please!! I look forward to all your videos.

    So far, after only 5 months, I have found the most difficult thing about parenting is giving my son a chance to explore and learn on his own because my wife and I are always doing something with him, all sorts of things we believe will stimulate his neurological functions but I'm starting to realize that may not be in the best interest of his overall development. If I always do things for him, whether it's picking him up right when I hear a slight cry after a nap or helping him out of what seems to be a difficult position while he is in his crib, he will come to depend on my constant presence and will come to learn that pattern of behavior and what happens when the day comes when his parents can't be there? It may seem like a drastic relation but dependency is a sneaky lesson and when one's learn that lesson, it may be a hard lesson to forget in this consumer friendly world. And, do you really want your child to find happiness only in material things destined to go away? We sure don't.
    Excellent video. I've only read a few books on the subject, the one from his pediatrics office felt like one long advertisement! and I'm glad to see that my feeding schedule is on par. Thank you deeply. With a purely scientific interest, I'd be curious to know if you do notice any difference between your son at his age and your daughter when she becomes that age in regards to behavior. I suppose that would encompass a wide range of variables but, still, the scientific curiosity remains lol

    I have a 5 month old with no routine whatsoever. He wakes up, eats, sleeps and play at different times every single day and I just do what he wants 😂🤣 my son is a snacker too, he’s exclusively breastfeeds against my will because he does not like any formulas, he throws up, spits it out, lets it spill out 😂 and he drinks a lil but every hour 🤦🏻‍♀️ my mother looks at me and prays for me everyday but I’m a stay at home mum and I don’t give my self a hard time I don’t force myself to cook or clean I can go all day without any food just water and when my husband comes home from work he takes him and then I’ll cooks us fish or chicken and rice etc. And I eat with him, that’s all my 3 meals, he does the dishes I feed and put baby to sleep. Once baby has gone to sleep usually around 23:30 for 3 hours, taking 20 minute naps every 1.5 hours throughout the day from 9am. In that time me and my husband chill, eat, catch up on shows, music, chat and uno 😂 once he sleeps and I’ve given baby a feed at 1:30-2 it’s mummy time til 3am, give him another feed. Then it’s my bed time till 8am. What do I do about the formula so husband can help me on the weekends and take him out & I rest?

      Wowwwww this sounds like me now...I have a 20wks old and have absolutely no routine...she's on somewhat my overnight schedule from when I worked during the pregnancy...she wakes up around 11-12 or sometimes 1.p.m in the afternoon...and take naps throughout the day I exclusively pump every 3hrs...she was a premie baby and was in the nicu for the 1st 5wks of birth so trying to get her to breastfeed was so hard so bottle feed was what worked for us...but she basically does what she wants I make sure to do tummy time for about half an hour a day and she's not really a fan I read to her daily but for the most part she's on her own schedule I may get her to go down for the night at 2am...sometimes at 4am...when she was in the nicu the nurse said we are worried about Blessing because she sleeps all day and up all night🤣 I said that was my work schedule.🤦🏾‍♀️ like now it's 3:24am and she just fell asleep about half an hour ago

      @@marisaonnagan4257 dw take it easy, you're doing a fantastic job and as long as she has her milk with vitamin D drop she's fine till 1, slowly slowly introduce finger foods or snacks she can play with, try paddling pool full off yoghurt and fruits and then she can play with her food and might be more fun. I did that with my son h3 used to gag and vomit after everything he tried and soon as I done the paddling pool thing he played so much and started eating what's init without gagging. The paddling pool think works with baby rice crackers, puff rice, literally anything that's not a checking hazard and it's just such a good laugh

      This was us 18 months ago, so I hear where you are coming from!! During the day, our 'nap' routine basically became: soothe for 30+ minutes (swaddling, rocking, running the water, white noise, dark room, sling, walks, lullabies - you name it), he'd finally fall asleep, he'd sleep in my arms (he wouldn't sleep in his bed at all) for 10-30 minutes, then he'd wake up screaming, and we'd go through it all again. I knew he was exhausted. No joy. After two months of things getting worse and worse (and Baby getting crabbier and crabbier), we all finally decided to give sleep training a try. This video about sleep training helped us a lot bit.ly/2NeoROP

    Aw cluster feeding u must feel tired all the time not that u look it. I have 2 boys 7 and 4 and 5 week baby boy. I'm breastfeeding him I haven't done so with my other 2. He's putting on weight and been doing really well. Just at night I find it difficult. Although he's sleeping pattern is not bad sometimes he sleep 5-6 without feeding which is not bad for 5 week baby. It's hard during the day because I have my other
    2 as well and he tends to feed during the day more which is taking a lot of time. Isabella she's beautiful 💜( really want a girl)😩

      @YsisLorenna  Před 6 lety

      Thanks leaving a comment, Eleonor! Yah, cluster feeding is hardcore, but I'm sure we'll get through it somehow. You must be busy with 3 little ones! That's good that your baby is sleeping ok - at least it gives you a bit of a break. I found daytime feedings difficult with my second, it's so hard to give the baby the attention she needs and also be there for the toddler. Kudos to you for managing 3! :) xx

    • @Ibetala
      @Ibetala Před 6 lety

      Babies should not sleep too long when they are so small because they need to eat every 1-3 hours. My son was sleeping for 5 hour stretches (by the way he never cries to sleep either) in his first week of life (unbelievable) and it took a toll on his weight gain. I had to start waking him up every 2 hours to feed him until he eventually learned to wake up more frequently. They are supposed to wake up often to feed because they need the nutrients for a rapidly growing body and brain.

      Good question, Sirine! :) I've learnt to breastfeed lying down, so I manage to have a bit of sleep whilst she feeds, albeit not the most relaxing sleep with a baby attached to me, but we'll get through this. This phase goes by so quickly in the grand scheme of their lives! :) x

      Yes that's true. My baby started sleeping well since 2.5 months (now he is 4 months) and even though i get good hours of sleep during the night i am still always exhausted. so props to you for surviving & keeping a smile on your face. (K) best of luck & i hope it will get easier moving forward.

    My baby is 5 months and her routine is so much easier than yours.. wakes up at 7am - plays and then sleeps at 10am and has her feed (3 hour nap) then wakes up 1pm and plays again and then naps for one hour more me plays. Then her bedtime is around 8:30- 9pm everyday and again she has a full bottle.. then dream feed her at 2am and then she’s awake around 7am! But thanks for sharing!

    Why are you giving her bottle/formula if you can breastfeed?

      Not your business... its her choice :)

      Mia Anis I’d imagine having your baby used to bottle comes in handy in situations you might not feel comfortable breastfeeding, or if she has to travel, work and can’t be around the baby then the baby would need to either drink formula or prepumped milk. Also some moms don’t produce enough, some produce too much, and for some it’s uncomfortable. The list can go on.
      Everyone has their reasons and you should try to think from their perspective instead of asking a question that is insensitive (although you might not have meant to be). I hope this helps give you a broader idea of the choices moms make. Everyone’s lifestyles are different and what works for one mom doesn’t always work for the other.

    It's also important to say that breast fed babies have different routine.
    Babies want cuddle, they want social contact, listen to mum heart beat, feel safe.

    As a Mum ...when I watch this video I feel bad,first of all..how you manage to put on makeup?and second ..your house is so tidy ...not even a tissue paper in a corner or something....just be realistic and be natural...

      exactly. this is so fake - have a full make up, their house blush ... when they clean, cook, help older children with homework? When and how? C'mon, be more realistic.
