Blackie always had one of the coolest voices in metal. You could always tell you were listening to a W.A.S.P song whenever you heard that voice.
Blackie was and still is a very intelligent and articulate individual who is massively introverted. He is in no uncertain terms an absolute musical genius. He feels things with an unmatched perspective and an interpretation that nobody could ever equate and puts it all into W.A.S.P. songs. This is why W.A.S.P. always stood miles apart from all the hedonistic and rather brainless glam metal acts who sang only about girls, drinking, drugs and reckless living.
If this doesn't rock you you're probably dead!!! Keep on rocking people

I first heard of WASP in 1984, when I found one of their vinyl albums in a place I was buying vinyl records, that featured imports (in New York State) and lesser known artists!! I bought that LP which was the "I Wanna Be Somebody" LP! Instantly I was hooked on them!! By 1988 I owned nearly every album they produced!!

Arguably the most mystical, dramatic, entrancing and hypnotic song that W.A.S.P. ever made. The middle interlude is like another world that brings that sunset during the Summer evening atmosphere where it cools down with the deep red of the sunset over the horizon and the sky getting slowly darker as the gentle wind blows over.
Such moments during Summer where the dynamics shift relentlessly between the sharp contrasts of the sun, wind, sky and the stars are when and where I like to feel this magic that only reflects 38 years later, how it never dies.

I was at some little record store in a mall last summer and found a CD of this album that had been autographed by Blackie Lawless. It was about 40 bucks and I rocked out to this thing for the next several weeks, in my car. While "Still Not Black Enough" MIGHT actually be my favorite W.A.S.P. album, I'd argue that there's not a more iconic release in their discography than THIS one. And goddamn, THIS song REALLY hits the spot! \m/

Hard to believe that Blackie Lawless was the original choice to play the T-1000 in Terminator 2 judgement day. But due to complaints from Arnold saying that Blackie was way too tall at 6’4 compared to the below 6 foot tall Arnie had him recast for the 5’9 Robert Patrick.
