Let’s all take a minute to acknowledge the guy on guitar. The arrangements and the playing are perfect.
Pretty sure he’s adjusting to verse/chorus/bridge on the fly to match Bieber’s singing too. It’s clear he forgets the words at some point but he’s also rushing to the next part or slowing down.

Didn’t care for the original but I know of it from hearing it on the radio. I never actually listened to the lyrics until I heard this version. So talented. Wish they would release this.

That poor baby is in so much pain. Hearing his hurt in perfect pitch, it's heart breaking and haunting. I both love the song, the guys, the kids ability to roll with and harmonize without skipping beat, or seeming to be offended. Speaks volumes of both them.
He seems more humble more than anything, like he's honored to have someone he considers a peer to sing his song with him because it's such a big tribute, especially considering that it's Justin Bieber and also the fact that he knows Bieber is drunk as shit so if anything Bieber's brain is not all there ( you can hear him sayin he forgot the lyrics ) which allows him to feel the song on a different level and Kid recognizes that.
Pretty cool of Bieber to pay tribute to him in that way and also for Kid to keep harmonizing and say " I got you! " right as Bieber was starting.

Bc he's JB. He showed up and his vocals are 🔥. He's a professional and can't deny that he's had A LOT of practice over MANY years. I saw this in it's entirety and as soon as he Started singing, everything changed. Justin and The Kid L. Sound amazing together BUT Justin blows him away vocally. If he's drinking, so what. Everyone commenting on him being drunk I'm sure they've all been drunk before too. Still, can't hold a candle to this man. So many think they know him. Ex-singer here...he is drunk and his voice is so stable. So stable that youd think he's lipsyncing until he forgot the lyrics. Its like a wake up call to reality that he is just really talented. Its really insane to me that he delivered it like this while drunk like wtf that's so hard.
but mainly the thing thats touching my heart is his how his voice breaks it sounds like a painful passion and i relate to it, makes me want to sing again tbh...
...Like i forgot what it was like to sing for passion and sing thru painful moments instead of sing to prove people that you are talented and can sing complicated runs and belt out loud notes until somebody thinks you're actually special for like a second...
They are both really talented, but both have a bit of auto tune going on, which you can hear in a few of their vocal runs. That’s probably why it sounds so ‘stable’
