Great video 👍👍👍 Love the 80s videos. It was much better back then... Or maybe I miss my youth 😢😢😢

Always great seeing videos inside London Garages, just something about a line up of identical buses that really looks pleasing to the eye. Romford NS was my local garage growing up and I loved seeing all the rows of Titans in there although these days the line up just hasn't got the same feeling to it. I think the last decent picture I took at NS was a line up of ALX400 Tridents with a ALX200 Dart hidden among them.

Spent may times in the past sitting on a Routemaster outside Leyton Green garage waiting whilst the crew swapped!

Yes, the crew would have been in the garage canteen, On The Buses style, until the last moment to leave!

I haven't been back since they moved the 38s out to Clapton. I can well imagine the roads have changed dramatically since!

I remember them from my time at Leyton in 1984/85. Back then the 48s were still Routemaster worked. In fact, back then we had no Titan's at Leyton, just RM/Ls and Leyland Nationals......

Nice stash of Trashionals at the end, as some Aussie bus nuts referred to them.

Leyton at this time was the only East London garage that had yet to have Titan's allocated. It only had Nationals and Routemasters. Even Loughton, which ended up all National, had brand new Titans for around 9 months before service cuts led to an all National shed.....

I'd be extremely happy to be repatriated back to an eternal 1987 with a return ticket to London with several weeks accommodation and a TV quality video camera.
Not before videoing Sydney's still incredible bus scene!
