  • After C&O 2765 (Nickel Plate Road 765) was taken out of service, ex- Milwaukee Road S3 Northern 261 stepped in to carry out 2765's assignment: pulling the final New River Gorge Trains in 1994 . Let's follow 261 as she travels along the CSX Mainline during the last few New River trains, and during the last days of steam excursions on CSX trackage.
-Milwaukee Road 261 model can be found at K&L Trainz
-CSX GP40-2 and SD40-2 models can be found at Jointed Rail
-Route used is East Kentucky 3, can be found at the Erecting Hall (Please note: this route is not prototypical to the real-life route the New River Gorge Trains ran on)

Where can you find the New Georgia streamlined coach with square windows? If it's a reskin, the original model. Is it in K&L's New Georgia set?

Why did 261 pickup the coaches in the middle of nowhere?
