  • In the second part of our LED 101 series, we build a couple of light painting tools with what we've learned. Making these tools is relatively easy and uses cheap components (list below).
IMPORTANT - I am a dufus, if you find a better, more awesome or fun way to do anything in this tutorial that is awesome, this is just my way. I am enjoying making these tutorials, as you will see, I am literally learning new and cool things.
Google - What voltages drive different coloured LEDs to learn more about the issue we discussed in here, but here is the wikipedia article - shorturl.at/jptQ4
Here is are links to the components we used. These bits will be available at all sorts of prices, these are local electronics stores. I get some bits of the web and locally. But you will find these items dirt cheap online.

Love these 2 tutorials mate. I appreciate you for doing this. My dad tried to get me into electronics when I was a kid. Wasn’t interested. Those skills would be handy now 😂

Hello Denis. these videos are very. interesting. How do you mount several LEDs in series?

Hi Nicolas. Thanks heaps for coming by. In this case you see I’ve put two leds into the tool, these are in parallel. If you wanted to create a circuit where many leds are in series you would need to work out forward voltage……… and way out of my brain capacity as it requires maths. Here is an awesome article that explains the requirements. www.ledsupply.com/blog/wiring-leds-correctly-series-parallel-circuits-explained/

Hi Sharon. If one practices swooshy noises daily and integrates it into a light painting performance, there can be a significant improvement to be had to the artistic outcome. 🤪
