I have been wearing Vans since I have been 12 years old. So when it comes to cleaning them I have learned the dos and don'ts. In this video I share not only how to clean your vans quick and easy but also a hack to get them dry fast without any browning or yellowing.

The problem with using a brush on black and cream/white checkered vans is it wears the black down. Use a wet cloth instead and don't scrub so hard!
Try scrubbing from the inside instead of direct contact on canvas. Sounds dumb I know, but you’ll be pleasantly surprised

I used this method (minus the toilet paper, just used towel and the sun) and my lizzies that are a suede and baby pink came out really great. Had got grease on them working on my vehicle but they look great now. Minnetonka moccasins has a BAD ASS water repellent that I'm going to use after. Doesn't stain and is eco friendly. Don't use vans brand, it leaves like oil marks and discoloration.

How about the black lining how can I make it black again because its get yellowed
hey! do you have any tips for faded these vans.. i really love these shoes and are special for me but one of the shoe faded and is little white-ish than the other. i do have shoes cleaner but that doesn't work. really hoping for a solution.

It's not possible. Don't use a brush! Use a soft cloth instead. It works better because it doesn't scrub the black off.
How do you wash the unside sole

It can be any brand. Or Dove dish soap works great, too. The real gem is using a magic eraser on the white rubber outsoles.
Does anyone know how to clean and restore suede shoes like Suede Air Forces 1's?

Sheesh, those dirty vans look brand new compared to mine . The side soles are almost completely black .

My husband has green checked vans. Hand washed & the dye has run into the white squares. He used diluted phels naphtha soap. Any ideas??
Hold on! So, you don't rinse them later to take away the soap??
Also, after I washed mine, they got water stains... any tips for that?

You could try tossing them in the washing machine and then using the toilet paper trick!😀

So i spilt beer on mine and now there is like a blue patch over the checker print - will this method help remove this mark?

Yes it will, just know there will be some fading with any washing method!

@nursemcfarlane6655 baking soda tied in a sock, leave inside shoe over night. You can use essential oils mixxed into the baking soda if you're into that, just don't get it on the shoe or it will leave a horrible stain.
