  • Grandma and The Kingdom had to take care of some business in #PagoPago #AmericanSamoa in today's vlog, but we didn’t have much time so we did it all in one day. We flew from Fagali’i #Samoa to Pago and flew back later the same day. (btw it's pronounced Pahngo Pahngo. The "g" in Samoan sounds like "ng" like in "sing.") We flew back in time (international date line) and then took a time machine to skip ahead a day again, haha! It was an awesome time hanging out w Mom for the day and learning some stories I’d never heard about her and dad when they first got married 44 years ago. We lost dad to pneumonia, cancer, and leukemia back in 2016. Feels like yesterday. So sorry to all of you that have lost someone you love. Much alofas and thank you for continuing to
watch our little family's journey. We are SO GRATEFUL for all of your comments, well-wishes, encouragement, and of course, for your Thumbs Ups, Sharing, and Subscribing! Thank you for telling us about you and your families! Thank you for watching together as families! It means SO, so much to us! If you haven't yet had a chance to SUBSCRIBE, we would so appreciate it if you would consider doing so!
    Much alofa from Samoa!

As people realize that the people and culture of the church aren’t the gospel of the church and that it’s each of us turning towards Jesus Christ in our own way and time, we are all better because of it! @JAMilyTV  Před 5 lety

It’s a beautiful place to visit. But if you are weighing how much time to spend in the Samoan islands (Upolu, Savaii, Tutuila), I’d say you need to split it 70%, 20%, 10%, respectively. If that formula ends up giving more than 4 full days on Savaii, then you need to spend a day on Manono. If it gives you more than 4 days on Tutuila, you need to spend 2 days on Manu’a (there are two flights to Manu’a weekly (Tue & Thu). If it gives you more than 30 days on Upolu, you should spend a day (but not more) on Apolima. I’ve never actually written down the formula, haha! But that’s what you should do. 😂👍❤️

True story there. The US wouldn’t let that happen, lol! Bad image if something like that happens. At this rate, Samoa will be Chinese in 25 years. It’s really crazy what’s happening over here. But i guess who knows; China lends bunches of money to the US too so maybe the US will be China in 25 years as well. Let’s hope we (both Samoa and the US) can bring down our national debts.

I grew up in Pago Pago. My family and I left the Philippines in 1985 and lived there till 1992. Mom met my dad now at the starkist. My uncle who is a Samoan married my aunt. I have little memories. There was a grocery store near my grandmother house and I would walk to get her vegetable. School wasn’t the best I had to get moved to another school because the teacher would hit and paddle my hand

No surprise there since Samoans were in contact with Fiji more than a thousand years before Westerners showed up at our shores. Hence, there are many legends about Samoans in Fiji or Fijians in Samoa.
