This video: Varnishing the viola of the Quartet of Peace set of instruments.
I love watching this because I have my own and it sounds nice 😁
I have no particular interest in violas or wood working but this was a very captivating video. Every motion fine tuned from years and years of experience, a great craftsman for sure.
Muito bom. Vc faz como os antigos mestres italianos. Seu terreno dourado é excepcional. Parabéns pelo excelente trabalho amigo. Realmente formidável.
That cat is beautiful.
Muito bom seu trabalho Brian, parabéns!
Eu nunca me canso de ver este vídeo ...
Hi .... no I add nothing to the balsam and just cook it down.
Glad to hear you are enjoying the videos.
I have never seen anyone apply varnish using just their fingers.
Is that "Death and the Maiden" playing in the background?
if i use a hotplate outside, can i wash it? perhaps i should use a large can inside of my hotplate to not ruin it. i want to cook with it afterwards.
what is between the two cooking pots from that huge bag? ash?
@BLviolin just a quick question, what do u use for the base coat and is it the same for a violin? i hear people use a coat of shellac, i heard some1 used half methylated spirits and half the actual varnish they used? thanks!
Forget the music and explain what he is doing!
Is that a regular pencil that you used to write on the violin?
Hello I wonder if you could tell me where in Europe I could find those products from Magister.
Magister products have not been available since 2012 so unfortunately there is nowhere where you can purchase them.
why do you choose to use balsam instead of resins?
Where do you get your balsam from? I can't seem to find it.
What is the pencil used to make the back like that?
Who’s watching this at 2020 stay healthy and stay inside.
Does anyone know what Brian is putting in the bottom pot at 2:50? Is that sand or saw dust?
It is a type of sand, I believe, helps to control the heat to have a sand bath
what piece of music is this???
That clear ground seems to be colored
It is. Unless the maker is Houdini and can put clear coat on wood and it magically change to yellow. My guess is it is gamboge diluted with denatured alcohol.
wood makup
Lol 😝
A pencil? Seriously? Wouldn't have thought of that
Again, a beautiful instrument ruined by writing on it.
bad bad bad
You are bad bad bad
