Today 23 February 2021 is Handel's birthday and he would turn 336 years old. Thank you Master for giving us so much beautiful music!

@@giorgiolamborghini813 en realidad sí es en marzo, ya que la fecha de febrero corresponde al calendario juliano, no al nuestro (gregoriano)
@@giorgiolamborghini813mmmm... miraste Wikipedia en italiano, pero si entras a Wikipedia en español te darás cuenta que salen ambas fechas, y se especifica que su fecha de nacimiento corresponde al 23 de febrero en el calendario juliano, pero en nuestro calendario corresponde al 5 de marzo, algo similar pasa con otros personajes, por poner un ejemplo: Newton, nació un 25 de diciembre, pero del calendario juliano, que corresponde al 4 de enero, esto pasa porque Inglaterra no adoptó el calendario gregoriano tan pronto como el resto de Europa, lo mismo pasó con otros países de aquella época... por último, Wikipedia en inglés tiene ambas fechas en el recuadro gris de la derecha, donde sale su retrato y algunos datos de él. @@giorgiolamborghini813 Ah, lo que pasa es que en Halle (donde nació Händel), se adoptó el calendario gregoriano en 1700, 15 años después de su nacimiento. Mientras que en Inglaterra se adoptó en 1752, entonces cuando murió en 1759 ya estaba introducido el nuevo y actual calendario, por lo que no existe discrepancias en la fecha de su muerte. El hecho de que el norte de Europa se demoró en adoptar el nuevo calendario crea confusiones con las fechas de nacimiento de otros compositores de aquella época y de esos países como J.S. Bach, Telemann, etc... Saludos desde México ;D
