I'm pleased my video helped. Regardless of what people choose to do - if my videos help someone save their money or help them find a fidget they like - either way, I'm just glad my video was useful. I still can't recommend these wholeheartedly or without a big warning. 01EDC need to change imo.

It is possible to unscrew the ring by pressing the middle button down and spinning it counterclockwise. Once this is done, you can pull the middle brass piece out by wiggling it side to side and pulling up. DO NOT use any tools since it is brass and threaded. Brass is a soft metal and taking pliers or something to it will almost definitely ruin the threads and the fidget.
I highly recommend putting it all back together BEFORE placing it back. It's much easier to screw the brass plate back on before putting it back on the fidget.
Also, it does not seem possible to push it off from the lanyard hole. The brass plate with the magnets is only as big as the middle button with the 01 on it. And the magnet has a small pillar that goes deep enough that pushing up on it from the lanyard hole tends to just bind it up rather than loosen it.

You can screw the ring off to access the push button when you have the top off, it just unscrews off of the brass plate. Once it’s opened, there are three layers of steel buttons, you can change the number of these that are facing the push button to increase or decrease the pressure of the button.

They should’ve made it like the Top-C, with a screw plate on the bottom. The ring/ripple pattern on the bottom would be perfect for concealing the seam of a screw plate.

Really excellent point - now I wish they had done that 😩

I'm really enjoying your videos. I love the clarity of your setup. The fact that you have to "slap" open the top cover guarantees that things are going to loosen up after a while and fall apart. I love the look of this one, and considered getting it, but seeing that has me hesitating.

Thanks Sean, love your videos too! You have a much more professional setup and way of doing things than me! 👍
I'm both really impressed and seriously disappointed in 01EDC at the moment. Both this and the POP 2.0 have issues, and it is such a shame because they are both fantastic fidgets. I was hoping they had improved since their early days moving on from Mackie, but no, doesn't appear to be the case. I have to give credit to Geeone for anticipating issues and supplying glue, but they shouldn't have to do that.
When I saw the post in the groups of someone at 01EDC demonstrating how to open the Time Badge, I honestly thought it was a joke at first. If this is truly how they meant it to be opened I can't help but feel that is extremely poor design. The functionality of the fidget is fantastic and I am still really enjoying it. But I mean, it's just a ridiculous and frankly accident-prone way of opening up a fidget 🤦‍♀️

Could you push the top off by poking something into the lanyard hole?

Hi! Thanks for your comment, most of what I wanted to sell from my collection has already sold and the rest I'm keeping. But if you tell me what the fidget is you're looking for and if it's something that is still in circulation, I may be able to help in terms of pointing you towards a retailer? What fidget is it?
